This is my 2nd time choosing Ritz-Carlton Nanjing. I've lived in many Ritz-Carlton hotels in mainland China and the US, there is no place like this property that makes me feel genuinely at Home. The service, room design, and dining experience are all impeccable. A short summary of advice for all travelers: COME.||Services: ||I expected the guest relations and housekeeping team to reach out to me for room preference and confirm with me if the prior requirements will remain. This reflected how this hotel team values guests' personal experience before check-in, and they remember every guest who stayed with them. The club lounge access is a must if you would like to have a full experience. Since it's a pretty popular place and you simply don't have to wait in line for check-in or check-out at the front desk: "Everything would be prepared in the Lounge." The hotel staff is always very passionate and warm, they would always ask if you want to have a room intro/tour. With the indoor decor, design, and art pieces combining the plum blossom elements in every tiny detail of the room, a room tour is definitely worth it. Thanks to Gary and the guest relation team, the special occasion for my family member and they had a pretty photo album printed for us, along with the flowers and handwritten postcards were definitely unforgettable. After a few days of stay, the club lounge staff remembered our dining preferences and would ask us from time to time if we would like to enjoy a food tasting. For every swimming period, there are always people bringing you bath towels immediately after I stand up from the water. For the time we failed to have Nanjing salted duck because PIN NING FU ran out of it quickly, the dish was brought to our table for free the day after in Lounge's dinner. The knowledgeable driver Jack, å¼ åøå , offered us fantastic stories and intros to his city attractions. The whole team spoiled us and made the hotel a place you actually felt at home. ||Food:||Please try all the meals they serve in the Club Lounge, their culinary arts implied that almost everything you can pick from them is tasty. Also, do try their afternoon tea and ask for TWG Nanjing Ritz-Carlton Selected. Then you would enjoy an amazing pot of coconut-flavor tea with warm and delicious butter scones. ||Facilities and Amenities:||Use the heated pool and enjoy the whole of Nanjing's city view from floor 40. The Spa in this property is also well designed: a fantastic way to relieve stress and seek in-city spiritual refreshments. This would probably be the last time using Asprey's Purple Water in Ritz-Carlton since soon there will be only Diptyque products in the shower, so I am quite lucky. ||||Lastly, I would like to express my greatfulness to the hotel team: Gray, Bonnie, Sylvie, Zhang (Jack), Toni, Mason, Kelly, Lily, and other wonderful ladies and gentlemen doing an excellent job keeping this hotel my personal favorite.||Wish I would share more important moments of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNanjing Ritz Carlton is the best Marriott Hotel I have ever stayed in. It has excellent interior design, excellent skyline landscape and excellent service. As a newly opened Ritz Carlton Hotel, it has a high degree of intelligence, but the design style still follows the unique luxury of Ritz. The whole hotel has a large number of works of art, each of which is worth appreciating. There are also many biographies, novels and paintings in the guest room, from ancient China to the European Renaissance. Among them, I like Monet's biography very much, which contains Monet's level stories and works, and is beautifully made. At the same time, I like the hotel's unique bookmarks and postcards, which can show the hotel's intentions. I think the service level is also excellent--"We are Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen." In addition to basic services, I feel the sense of responsibility and care from employees. At first, the air conditioner in my room could not maintain low temperature. I called the front desk and thought whether it was the characteristics of the central air conditioner itself, but the gentleman insisted on asking colleagues in the engineering department to check, and said that it was the responsibility of the Ritz Carlton Hotel. Then the engineering department came to the guest room to check and solve the problem very quickly. Thank the front desk staff for their persistence. Then I fed back the problems I encountered to Ms. cherry at the gym. She quickly reported them to GSM. I received a call from GSM and said to provide a free breakfast to compensate. I am very satisfied with the processing results and speed. At night, in the lobby bar, Ms. Amanda explained the cocktail formula for me and recommended it according to my preferences. I was additionally provided with Chinese and Western desserts for freeļ¼I was pleasantly surprised by such courtesy. At the same time, the housekeeping department is also very professional, and gave me a lion toy as my request. It's hard to imagine that such a high-level hotel is only Cat4.It's really worth staying and highly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNanjing was my last stay before finish my two weeks visit to China. Since there is no Four Seasons in Nanjing, Ritz Carlton would be top choice no doubt and as I know, Ritz Nanjing is quite a new hotel. ||My stay start with a disappointing check in experience. I booked one executive suite and one base room for my stay all under my name and my Marriott Bonvoy account. Guess what, looks like in China or in Nanjing you canāt stay in two rooms under one name. Nina at front desk was very kind and warm, but no exceptions she could make or willing to make. Donāt know if itās strict Chinese government policy or something else. Anyway, even after Nina check with her manager stay behind the office, there is nothing she can do to help. I canāt even just use another personās ID to check in another room because there also has an extra rule or law says the front desk need verify the guestās ID. So I have to call my friend in Nanjing to come to hotel and use his ID and pass the āfaceā verification with his ID to prove it is him who stay in this hotel. What a joke! I donāt know how some VIP guests could rent the whole floor or whole hotel because as they explained, they will need hundreds of ID for each room and all these person have to show up at front desk to match their face with ID. Totally unbelievable rule. ||The rest stay is perfect. Hotel is new, room is modern designed and the executive suite beat all other regular suite I have stayed, from size, decor, furniture to service. You can order coffee or tea and some other drink delivered to suite with no charge. The executive club lounge was amazing with 5 meals a day and the quality of the food and drinks there is incomparable. ||If the front desk staff could be more flexible, I would no doubt give 10 out of 10 for this hotel. Sadly, they are not. They stick to the rule and they wonāt take any risk for themself. Typical bureaucracy you could seen...
