Have experienced extremely annoying and poor attitude of staff in Towers Lounge and Restaurant. Cant digest this is a SPG chain of hotel or 5 start hotel at all. After seeing the excellenct furnishing and really spacious Executive Suite Room, can u expect the attenders in towers lounge keep water bottles safe inside and serve you in glass cup; and they replied here nothing is take away so u need to go to your room and ask house keeping for a water bottle and no plate or glass can be taken out. Then we tried getting milk for baby in our bottle, she replied this one time I'll allow for free ... but here after cannot allow you take anything outside lounge. I travel across world and stayed in most chains and SPG hotels too always towers lounge are open till mid night or 24 hrs and you can pick water bottle or soft drink from fridge. Here this lady is thinking its her money and giving you for free or charity one time after you pay up all the XXXX. Today one more family from UK with 2 kids 1yr and 4mo baby ..met and told us same attitude of the attenders and in restaurant also they say water is in jar u can hold and drink and in hurry for morning u cant pick one of those bottle and run ..also the other family asked restaurant guy that the spoon is good for feeding baby as its long handle and requested them for one spoon and to note down their room number. The attender replied no no we cannot allow any spoon or glass to be taken out of restaurant ... cmon we have seen hotels around the world ..this 5 start hotel is giving so much respect to its free water bottles, spoons and plates and emabarrasing the guests .. I'm still locked up here and planned for 8 nights now trying to leave as early as possible to some other hotel ..mostly tomorrow !! Will definitely inform SPG and my blogs not to be duped by 5 star rating or the building as you cant...
Read moreOverall, the hotel is a good spot for travelers and businessmen to stay near the center of Nanjing. The old-fashioned building was innovated recently with a stylish elevator system and interior design while keeping the prevailing Sheraton characteristic.
Although I appreciated the suite upgrade upon my arrival, I was neutrally satisfied with the pre-check-in process as there were too many people on the line without an expedite desk for Bonvoy elites, nor had I been told that the Executive Lounge was only available after 1 pm. Nevertheless, the front desk agent was courteous and affable, please forgive me for not able to recall his name.
The interior of my room and the panorama view of Nanjing were desirable. However, there was some unknown filth on the toilet seat that I had to wipe forcibly before I use it.
Additionally, I remembered that I turned on the green(clean) light before I left the room shortly afterward my check-in to remind the housekeeping to help me change the hand towels and perform the turn-down service. However, I didn't receive any reactions, the green light was still on and my room was untouched the whole day (I came back at midnight).
I didn't have a chance to experience the food in the lounge. However, the breakfast in the buffet restaurant was terrible, it was the most horrible meal I've ever got during my trip to Nanjing, as well as the almost non-existent service. Perhaps I should impute it as other foods or restaurants in Nanjing were so delightful that the Sheraton, the veteran upscale hotel in Nanjing, was incapable to...
Read moreSheraton Nanjing Kingsley is centrally located in Nanjin, within walking distance to subway line 2 stations. I am a Bonvoy Titanium Elite, and was upgraded to a suite room. I was told that all suite room occupied the corner of the building, and it gives great view of the city. In particular, viewing the Qing Huai river flow through the city from your own hotel room is a surreal experience. |The hotel has an interesting elevator system. You have to input the floor outside of the elevator by combing the key card and input the floor number that you intend to go. The panel will then direct you to one of the 5 elevators (A-E), and once the elevator arrives, you will find that the floor number you have punched in shows up in the elevator schedule list. The system takes a bit time to get used to, but I think that it works fairly well. |I have used the concierge lounge at the hotel a number of times. The concierge lounge staffs, lead by Amanda, did an excellent job in service. I was always offered drinks when I arrived at the lounge. Even though the evening happy hour gets busy in the beginning, the lounge staffs ensure that there is ample food with good quality for the guests. |You can have breakfast in either the 2nd floor buffet restaurant or in the concierge lounge. I choose the buffet restaurant, and was satisfied with the quality and variety of the food. Some of the highlights are fresh squeezed watermelon, orange and cucumber juices, soft tofu, Chinese pancakes, fried eggs with bacon wrappers, pork...
