Green Garden Hotel — Hotel in Shanghai

The hotel is conventiently located just outside the hustle and bustle, only 5 minutes by taxi from Financial Center. Staff is friendly and upon check-in I asked for their special ladies room. Room was spacious with lots of storage space. Very comfortable, slightly outdated but still acceptable given the room rate. The bathroom however, was tiny. To take a shower one had to move to one side avoiding the toilet, close the bathroom door and step into the bath. It would have been impossible to be with 2 people at the same time in this bathroom!!||Breakfast was limited and of mediocre quality. Diner is of poor quality, not worth the money at all. There is no real bar area, but waiters from the restaurant can be called to order a drink. Restaurant closes early so they provide you with a picnic box with icecubes with drinks of your choice. Creative, but not very pleasant. Also in the nearby area there are not real alternatives, so a taxi is required to go out.||For a business hotel, it is...

The entrance to this hotel is beautiful. The hall is lined with antique jade which will take a little while to examine as the carvings are exquisite. You are greeted with a friendly smile and efficiency checked in. The lifts are almost art deco in style and polished to a high finish. My room was wonderful. It had plenty of space for everything the weried traveller needs. Two large chairs in a small vienete, Two double beds, writing desk, and bar/eating area. There is tea and coffee. And if you need anything the staff will be more than happy to get if for you. There have been comments in previous reports about the wifi. Yes it is slow and stop. But there is much more to Shanghai than internet service. Outside of the room there are two large seating areas that also have a fish pond to add to the tranquility of your stay. I stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks staying in the Business room.||The room is good, clean and big. It has most of the amenities expected for its class. The staff is very helpful.||The breakfast is quite standard nothing to shout about. You can get tired of it after a couple of days.||The location is good if you are in for business around Pudong area. The only problem with the hotel location is that is it very hard to get a cab during morning rush hour. The staff would gladly hail a cab for you but be prepared to wait for about 5 - 10 mins. There is no problem getting a cab during other time.||If you wish to travel by metro the nearest metro stop is about 10 mins walk.||There is not much eating area within walking distance from the hotel.
