This is a budget hotel but the staff keep it so well maintained that it feels like something so much more than that. The tough pill to swallow is the fact that when you open your room window you will be welcomed with a destroyed building and a ton of trash since they are renovating but that same view turns into something quite nice during the night when you see the city view and Love shanghai building.||The area is not so bad the only thing I found tiering was the fact that the subway stations are a bit far off and during the late night hours after 1am there isn't much open to go get food besides a stand and a pretty far 711 ...or was it a family mart... one of those two lol.||The hotel room I stayed in had a nice TV with a nice bed and every time housekeeping came by they left two bottles of water everyday free of charge.||One if not the only problem I had was this leak every time I took a shower the tub would start leaking water towards the toilet and I would have to throw one of my towels to stop it from taking over the world.. OK from taking over my bathroom :D||Overall its a very nice looking hotel with superb rooms and beds but the downside would be there is t anything interesting close by without taking that far off subway everyday.||If you don't mind the destroyed buildings outside your window and the kinda long walk to the subway station, I...
Read moreNo offense but I guess being a season traveller in China and having stayed in real rundown 'rice restaurant' to six star hotel, I would give this place a 2.5 star. Indeed the review given was quite true but hell for USD22 per night, show me better hotel in Shanghai. You got the mrt around the corner, convenient store besides it and even a damn police station in front of it. What's more can you get for USD22??||Room is around 16sm, TV is flat screen and all Chinese station, bed is hard but not like the floor, toilet is big and amenities given, no restaurant in the hotel, 24hour reception and one lift serve 6storeys. Wifi is ok, neither strong nor slow but common speed|We were a group of 12 people having arrive at the hotel at 2am and was surprised what a nice lobby we have and the reception thou look tired was smiling to receive us. Check in is 10 min and we were all in our rooms right after, no deposit required and no keeping of our passport or whatsoever that rehired credit card etc.|Don't stay here if you expect 3 star above but if you wanna know how Shanghainese life is like... Try this place as you can sense a very deep neighborhood feel...
Read moreI've stayed in this hotel for 4 days, it was arround 80 euros. ||After arriving to the airport Pudong, you can takethe bus number 5. (arround 60 minutes and 2.5 euros) to the Shanghai train station (10 min walk to hotel) from which you can be in Suzhou (industrial zone) in 40-50 minutes by train, for 5-6 euros to 10 euros.||The hotel needs refubrishment, and it is happening righ now, in some parts of hotel. You have police station facing the hotel, and the area is not too bad, just with some bad looking shops, where I have bought coke, peanuts etc.||The stuff is very helpfull, they arrive in 5 minutes - if you have any small problem they solve it in 5 minutes (if you can't turn on tv, wifi, or airconditioning) and at the desk can speak some English.||If you want to use the taxi to the city center, it's from 2-3...
