The hotel is located right across the railway station and a few minutes walk from the metro station. It looks like it would need some renovation work, both exterior and interior. Even though the hotel is declared as being non-smoking, one can clearly sense the cigarette smell in the lobby. Our room was at the 19th floor, with a great view over the city and over the square in between the hotel and the railway station. Each morning and each evening you could see people dancing and doing taichi. It was really nice. However, the water pressure was very low and it was challenging to have a proper shower. The exterior world seen from the windows of this hotel was really beautiful, but inside the hotel the situation was disappointing. Our room, with a big non-smoking sign on the nightstand, was clearly and horribly smelling of cigarette. When we asked the help of the staff, they sent the cleaning lady to open the window. When the staff at the reception was informed about this, they told us on a tone of reproach the hotel is non-smoking, that it might just be in our heads only and that they cannot change our room, because they are fully booked. The lady turn her back at me and left, without any other excuses or "we are sorry about that" attitude. Luckily we had our local guide, able to speak their language and she helped us change our room at the end of next day. The breakfast was quite poor in choices. We would definitely not be coming back at this hotel, not with these services and with this attitude...
Read moreWe stayed there for 3 days, upon arrival the room window was not closing, they came and fixed it. The staff at this place is really rude, front desk and restaurant staff is ok. The room was fine. The day we left, the cleaning lady was standing outside our room door at 9h30 am, she asked when we would checkout, we told her we will go eat at the restaurant and we would check out at 11h30. When we checked out the cleaning lady was standing outside the room again like a hawk. We opened the door and she rushed into the room, the very first thing she aimed for was to look for the pen case they leave in the rooms. She knew exactly what she was looking for. The pen case was there in the morning when we went to eat but vanished by the time we came back and checked out. They charged us 30 rmb for the ugly missing pen case, beware, those people are scammers, I looked at other reviews about this place and it show that they also make stories about damaged towels and make people pay for it. Avoid this...
Read moreI stayed here for three nights as part of a school tour group. My room was small but comfortable enough (we were not in our rooms much at all!). Breakfast was fairly ordinary with limited variety. Guests need to get in early as it can get quite busy and tables/chairs may be difficult to find.||The location was quite good as it was near a subway. At night the local Chinese people could be seen dancing in the adjoining railway square. Others would sing or simply relax. For those with Western tastes, McDonalds, Starbucks and other food chains were close by. ||Reception staff spoke no or little English but tried to be helpful. The internet access was not reliable, even in reception. I have indicated that it has free wifi but we were told that we need a Chinese mobile phone to get internet access in our rooms.|| If given the right price, this hotel would suffice for a...
