A Pleasant Stay at IFC Residence in ShanghaiI recently had the opportunity to stay at the IFC Residence in Shanghai for two nights, from September 25th to 27th. Overall, my experience was quite positive, with several notable aspects that made my stay enjoyable.First and foremost, the location of the IFC Residence is incredibly convenient, situated in Lujiazui, Pudong. Being connected to the IFC shopping center allowed for easy access to a wide range of dining, shopping, and entertainment options right at my doorstep. The vibrant atmosphere of the area added to the overall appeal of the hotel. The room I stayed in offered a stunning view, which was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my stay. It provided a picturesque backdrop of Shanghai's iconic skyline, creating a memorable and visually pleasing experience. I was also impressed by the room's condition, considering its age. The maintenance and cleanliness were commendable, showcasing the hotel's commitment to providing a comfortable and well-kept environment for guests.Throughout my stay, the staff at IFC Residence exhibited a high level of hospitality. They were friendly, approachable, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests I had. Their helpfulness greatly contributed to the overall positive impression I had of the hotel. While my experience was largely positive, I did notice a minor area for improvement. The housekeeping service could pay more attention to vacuuming the rooms thoroughly. Although the overall cleanliness was satisfactory, a more meticulous approach to cleaning would have enhanced the overall experience.Additionally, I would like to mention that I found a better room rate through Trip.com compared to the official website of IFC Residence. This highlights the advantage of utilizing Trip.com for booking accommodations, as it provided me with a cost-saving opportunity without compromising on the quality of my stay.In conclusion, my stay at IFC Residence in Shanghai was a pleasant and enjoyable one. The hotel's convenient location, captivating views, well-maintained rooms, and friendly staff contributed to a positive experience overall. With some minor improvements in the housekeeping service and the ability to find competitive rates through platforms like Trip.com, I would highly recommend IFC Residence for a comfortable and convenient stay...
Read moreMy recent stay at Shanghai IFC Residence during a business trip with my family was truly remarkable. Mr. Stephen is the one who is the one who taking care of us during the check-in. He kindly upgraded us to a 2-bedroom. We are planning to return to Shanghai during the mid-year and definitely return to this hotel. ||Location: Hotel connected to IFC mall, on the side facing the Pearl Tower (opposite Nanjing Road.) If you choose not to have breakfast at the hotel, there are numerous dining options within the mall, including a variety of restaurants, dessert shops, and supermarket. The location is perfect for business trips, with easy access to the metro station. It is also fast to get taxi services, unlike hotels along Nanjing Road.||Breakfast: Price for food is around 800 THB. Initially, after reading the reviews, some people mentioned that there were few choices for food and did not recommend it. However, after my family and I tried the hotel's food, we were very impressed. While it's true that the food options are not extensive, they are considered complete. Furthermore, the food tasted delicious, and the ingredients were of high quality (the coffee had a great taste).||Cleanliness: Cleanliness is paramount for me, and I can confidently rate this hotel a perfect 10/10. It surpasses even some 5-star hotels I've stayed.||Room facility: The modernly decorated room. It has a dishwasher, oven/microwave, and washing machine, suitable for long-term stays. The spacious layout of the rooms, especially the 2-bedroom with 2 bathrooms, is ideal for families or larger groups. The wall is soundproof, peaceful night's rest without any disturbances.||Service: |All the staff members were kind, attentive, and ready to assist and provide recommendations for any issues. During our stay, when we requested a heater from the reception due to chilly weather, they promptly fulfilled our request. The staff members are proficient in English and provide excellent service with enthusiasm to assist. The hotel has a pleasant and clean aroma, and the housekeeping team conducts daily cleanliness checks. They are attentive, welcoming, and greet us warmly every time we encounter them. Additionally, the hotel provides complimentary coffee, beverages, and snacks on the third floor throughout the day (the coffee has a...
Read moreAs a first timer to Shanghai, choosing IFC Residence worked out great for my family and me. The excellent location allowed us easy access to the metro and the nearby malls and helped us in quickly getting Didi bookings.||While the rooms do appear slightly dated, the furnishings and amenities are well maintained and the size of the rooms made it a comfortable home away from home.|We stayed in their spacious 2-bedroom suites and it proved the perfect size for 3-4 people. The well-sized dining table even helped with our dinner/supper orders, and we were able to use the provided kitchenware. While I do wish that our delivery orders could be sent straight to the room, rather than having to head to the lobby to collect it personally, it is a minor inconvenience. ||A highlight was its direct link to IFC mall (via Level 1 and 3), and the short walk across a pedestrian bridge to Super Brand Mall. The pedestrian bridge itself proved to be the perfect spot to get views of the Pearl Orient Tower. Taking the metro to major spots like Nanjing East Road and Yu Garden were easy, both being 1 stop away on Line 2 and 14 respectively.||The team at IFC were professional, pleasant and helpful throughout our stay, assisting us with restaurant reservations and other requests. Particular praise goes out to Assistant Manager Wang Hanyuan (王汉元), who was not only helpful but provided us with assistance throughout our stay. I'd also like to extend a special mention to the housekeeping staff who took care of room 1009 from 10-15 Jan. I forgot to get her name but she was especially caring towards a family member, who had gotten injured on the trip. Due to the injury, she stayed in the room for 5 days. The housekeeping staff not only took the effort to check on her but also made sure that the bathroom floors were bone dry and even popped in at the end of her shift to check if she could be of additional assistance. I truly regret not having gotten her name but would like to thank her and the team for showing such concern. ||I have little doubt that I will be planning a return trip to Shanghai in the near future and would not hesitate to stay at IFC...
