Blossom House Shanghai On The Bund — Hotel in Shanghai

Booked the Family Room which was perfect for our ‘girlie birthday’ trip. Room size and layout : Plenty of luggage space and loved the over hanged rack for all our clothes. This is usually lacking and unavailable in most hotels. Large bathroom with enclosed shower / tub with quality sanitary fittings. Toilet cubicle was separate. Extra makeup / vanity corner was a bonus. Cleanliness & Room Amenities : Hotel was only 4 years old and room was relatively new and clean. Service : Front of house staff (Carey and the girls ) were amazingly helpful and spoke very good English. Our housekeeper’s Linda & Flower were super helpful and responded to our ‘requests’ promptly. All communication was done via WeChat which was rather efficient. Location : Very close to The Bund / Metro / Old City Temple and small neighbourhood eateries. If you plan to make a Cheongsam I would recommend going to the building next door. Suggestions for improvement: 1. There is no safe box available in the room. We had to use the one available at the front desk. 2. Location on Google Map is inaccurate. Please correct it asap so it is rather inconvenient for us Goggle users. 3. Air conditioning in the room was on auto settings which turned off automatically once it reaches a certain room temperature. Although it was a cool month room can be quite stuffy unless you open the terrace doors. We ended up requested for a fan for better room circulation. Will definitely stay here...

The hotel is a local hotel with a local Chinese theme with modernization. We stayed at the family room which is big for 4 pax, the room has a nice bathtub with a universal socket for mobile phone charging. The room comes with 1 queen and 1 super single bed which the super single bed is too small for 2 pax. It will be ideal to have 2 queen beds. There is no hanger at the bathtub or shower area.Good location as it's around 100m to 150m to the Bund and Yu Yuan, Yu Yuan subway station. There are several eateries across the street such as 小杨煎包, Tim Horton and many more. One can walk to Yu Yuan for meals as there are famous restaurants over there though it can be crowded. The hotel staff are helpful from the concierge, room cleaning , receptionist and like to thank Eason from the reception who helped to order food from * since the apps and alipay do not accept foreign mobile numbers. There is a robot that will help to deliver items to your room. The hotel also helps to receive delivery from e-commerce, just to make sure there is sufficient time as needed at least 3 days.
