Grand Soluxe Zhongyou Hotel Shenzhen — Hotel in Shenzhen

I spent whole week on business in Shenzhen and stayed at CNPC. The hotel is nice and clean and the service was good even though I did face some language problems. But everybody was trying to do their best and serve you well.|I had a single room which was quite small but just for myself that was enough. The bathroom was functional and they refilled the supplies of shampoo, bathfoam, toothbrush and paste every day. Once I got free fruits and once they brought the "mooncake" as it was the holiday season then. China Today was brought to my room twice during my stay.|Breakfast buffet was good enough and once we had lunch at hotel restaurant. |The only thing which I had trouble to understand was the complimentary drink. There was a notice that hotel gives complimentary dringks but some of them were charged anyways. The sum was so low, that I did not complain - partly because I was sure I would not be understood properly. |The hotel was close to some shopping mall which was nice to pop in after the meetings in the evening. So I managed to squeese in shopping into my tight schedule due to the location of the hotel!|There were some construction work going on beside the hotel and the workers began banging and click-clacking at 7 am - I am sure that would bother those who could have slept a...

This is a 4 stars hotel. When I stayed there, their business was not too good as I noticed there were not many guests. I tired to find faults with this hotel to see why there were not so many guests but I could not find any. The hotel was newly renovated. My room was of a reasonable size. Every thing in the room works. The room is clean and absence of any odour. I was looking for cigarette smell but there was non. There was free wifi, free drinking water in the room. The staff are friendly. The breakfast, although not grand is more than adequate. The Chinese restaurant served excellent Chinese food. ||The tube station is located within a 5 minutes walk. Supermarket, many restaurants, hair salon and all within 3 to 5 minutes walk. Excellent location. I will not hesitate to return to this unique gem as the price for the room is...

From outside and lobby, this hotel looks great. And it locates in a very convenient location too. Close to subway, many shops, restaurants near by. Comfortable bed and decent sized room.||||Now not so great part:||1. shower head: it'a a tiny shower head and hangs pretty low. If you are tall person, water can only reach to your chest level. And there is no good way to block water, so after taking shower, expect wet/messy bathroom;||2. service: as a 4 star hotel, staff and everyone are doing an OK job. Not great.
