Hilton Garden Inn Shenzhen Nanshan Avenue — Hotel in Shenzhen

I called the hotel and asked to speak to the Sales Manager to get a price for a room and was quoted a price. Later, I called the Front Desk and got a different quote which was RMB130 cheaper per night. I don't really know the purpose of the Sales Department.||On arrival, the check in process was efficient and the staff attitude was very good.||Big problem is, I paid more for a "Garden View" and later found the Garden view is in fact a "Factory View" (See attached photos). Don't pay more for a Garden view this is cheating.||The breakfast is a total failure. Food was cold and unappetizing. Staff service was not existant and most of the time they were together in a corner chatting.||Don't pay extra for breakfast. This is not Hilton standard.||The biggest joke is the hotel advertising Starbucks everywhere, but in fact, they are only using starbucks coffee beans in the 12th Floor Lounge. This lounge was always empty and I can imagine how old the coffee beans are.||The walk from the elevators to my room was more than 120 meters. See photos.||Housekeeping staff very pleasant but room was not cleaned properly and standards very low. Such as hair in the shower drain and bedsheets changed only every 4 days.||There was constantly rubbish outside rooms in the corridors. See Photos.||Where is the Management or the Supervisors? Why don't they check?||Elevator button on the floors where not in sync with each other, meaning that you have to push two buttons to call the elevators. Very inconvenient.||Wifi was good.||Check out good.||Security service very good.||Location is very far from downtown Shenzhen and the hotel is located in a very local residential area.||I will not return to this hotel...

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Shenzen for a short weekend getaway and overall, my stay was quite pleasant. The hotel's location was convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, with a comfy bed and modern amenities.The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The hotel's lobby area was also nicely decorated and had a cozy atmosphere.However, there was one major disappointment - the breakfast. Unfortunately, the selection was limited and the food quality was not up to par. The continental breakfast spread was lacking in variety, with only a few pastries and cereals available. and the coffee was ununavailableDespite this, I would still recommend the hotel to others. The good far outweighs the bad, and I would consider staying here again in the future. Just be prepared for a mediocre...

Nice newly renovated hotel, located about 20mins from Shekou Cruise Centre, with lots of eatery nearby. Staffs are friendly and helpful.|The in-house restaurant and room service close at 9pm which is not a big issue.|Complimentary washing machine and dryer is available on site which is super useful.||Drawback is the smell of smoke on non-smoking floor.||There is a spa on the 5th floor and a 80 min foot massage cost RMB 389 (hotel guest) which ain't bad considering it's convenience and I was susprise to learn that it include a meal too (but I had my dinner already).
