Home Inn — Hotel in Shenzhen

My regular budget hotel was full for the May Day holiday so I tried this Home Inn. It was spotlessly clean, but the room was the smallest I've ever seen in Mainland China - barely room to walk between the bed and wall and nowhere to put my luggage except on the bed. Although the staff were friendly and the location was excellent for my needs I had serious concerns about security as there is NO back door - the lift shaft opens to the outside of the building, which appears to have offices & residential apartments on other floors. At 3 am someone very drunk tried to enter my room (using their door card) so my door made alarm sounds. I guess this can even happen in 5 star hotels but I wasn't in a very good frame of...

Clean rooms. Bathroom was coloured to set a mellow chill 70's vibe. Lovely wallpaper made the rooms pop in flavour, the solid beds fixed my posture and made for a good night sleep. The bathroom roof really tested height and the shower head was mostly attached to the wall. Ten out of ten...
