Huaan International — Hotel in Shenzhen

The lights are confusing, why are there bathroom lights beside the bed. Do I want to access the bathroom lights when I just want the lamp light, no but apparently I will. Also the wifi sucks. You will connect to it to only find out that you cannot access internet with it. I’m currently typing this review using my iPhone’s data and just 8 minutes ago I was told down by the manager that every rooms have wifi and if I don't understand how to connect to it they’ll send someone. I just want to access the internet, I have no problem finding out the name of the wifi I was not born yesterday nor how to connect to the wifi, I just want access to the dang internet. Also, I’m a 15-year-old glued to my devices I get internet and wifi, but I do not get why I cannot access it and why none of the staff will understand I know the name of the dang wifi. TV is okay, bed is okay, showers are okay, and the hotel is okay its in a good location. But there's nothing memorable about it than me wasting my data because the hotel staff or the wifi will let me access the internet. Honestly, I’ve stayed in this hotel twice and it's mediocre compared to other hotels...

I was suppose to stay at this hotel in Shenzhen for few nights but checked out the very next day. The location is fine, right in the heart of SZ city centre and close to subway station. When I check in the front desk told me that the whole building suppose to be smoke free and it is NOT. I requested a smoke free room but once I enter the room it is full of smoking scent and I try to switch the room to different level and room, they are all smell the same. Well, I think I can tough it out but the next thing happened is that the ventilation screen in the ceiling pop down and the dust is everywhere. This is the final straw to leave this hotel. The housekeeping is far from satisfactory and the bathroom is dire need of updating and maintenance. The bedding cover is look so old and used. The room fee is in $700+ YMB which is not cheap for a suppose 4-5 star hotel. Stay away, I would never return...

First time I went to Shenzhen, in 2004, I stayed at the Huaan conifer hotel. At that time I found the hotel very nice compete to other options then. |Today after more than 12 years, I decide to try it again and found out it is very average. |Lots of other choice around Shenzhen which are much better and same price level. |The only advantage in Huaan hotel is the location, it is in down town Luohu with lots of shops and restaurants around. |The hotel is quit old, rooms are clean and big, but that's about it. |If you find yourself in the hotel, don't miss visit the Mix mall across the street. ||You better choose same price hotel at Sheku area, it is near Futian and...
