We travel from HK to Shenzhen by MTR (it was easy). We had 2 elderly (one on wheelchair), 2 kids & 4 adults. ||||Just be very careful, not to get cheated by illegal taxi drivers, take a cab from a proper taxi stand. We were cheated to paying 200 yuan for a 15 mins ride (on a MPV), in the middle of the journey, the driver asked for extra 100 yuan for highway tax (obviously there wasn't). Actually taxi fare, was not more than 40 Yuan per taxi.||||Muslim Hotel was convenient for us, as we require Halal Food. Please eat your meals on the 1st floor beside the hotel lobby. It is much cheaper there. Bring your own fork if you don't know how to use the chopstick.||||The rooms desperately need to be renovated. If you are not fussy, just bear with it as eating was convenient.||||Outside the hotel there will be some Urumqi Muslim people (you can distinguish from their face) selling some nice candy. Do buy some, it is really nice.||||People don't Q for taxi, so the strongest and fastest will get it.||||Shop at LCC, just outside the Shenzhen immigration. 5 Levels of Blue Glass Building. I hate that place, coz you have to bargain hard like in Bangkok. Do Bargain more than 3/4 of actual price. ||||We went for foot reflex and pedicure there. You have to be very careful, if you want to have a reflex just stick to it. NO to pedi or manicure. Pedicure is charged at 30 YUAN but that is only for soaking and cutting your nails. We choose to stay here as we are Muslims & here they have halal food that we much needed during our stay.|The distance between Huang Bei Ling station and the hotel can be quite long if you carry your huge bag like we do. So, we choose to take bus to go around Shenzhen as the bus stop just near the hotel and you can conveniently go anywhere in Shenzhen by bus. Do get the Shenzhen Tong (a prepaid transport card) at the train station for convenient smooth journey so you don't need to search for coins for the bus ride.|The room is quite spacious to us as we previously stay in a tiny hostel in Hong Kong, and the price quite cheap too even for 2 nights.|For Muslim traveler, Do stay here as you can try their halal local Chinese food. The food they serve we're quite good and we even packed the food to Macau!|Please to remind, the people in China doesn't speak much and not very well in English. & Do get your locations you wanna go in written Chinese if you don't want to getting lost in China. |Our overall stay here...
