This hotel is almost at the brink where I would rate it as poor but then there are still a few good points.||I arrived round about 2 pm since I received a message on the Bonvoy app that I have been upgraded and the room is ready for my stay. When I reached the front desk, I was attended by a female associate which told me that I was upgraded but my room was not ready. I then asked if that is a suite since I assume it takes longer to clean up but was told no. I then noticed that there was a leaflet stating that the laundry service is not available for the next day and I asked the same lady what could be done , she left me hanging there without an answer. I asked further again about my room and was told it was not ready. I then told her that I will then proceed to the executive lounge to check in, and without trying to doubt her , I then realized she is a trainee. She did not offer me directions to the lounge except to say it is on the 2nd floor.||I went up to the lounge and was greeted with an empty desk that I sat for a few minutes before someone came.|Likewise she said that my room is not ready and then I asked since i have to wait , will I be offered a suite ? Credits to the lady as she eventually found a suite but I waited for more than 1 hour to get my room. In between , I asked another staff at the lounge about the laundry service since it is not available the next day , she corrected me to say it is available but I have to pay.|I then refer her to the leaflet which she then realized she did not read her notes. Anyway I asked if she can assist and she said I can find launder service from external party outside the hotel….well “thanks” for the service.||On the day of checking out, I was walking back from breakfast to the elevator and came across one staff in suit clearly with the R logo and surprisingly no smile on his face or a simple greeting which I felt was rather unfriendly.||On the room side , despite the suite , it shows its age especially at the shower area whereby mold can be found on the windows pane, a big turn off. I can also smell some lingering foul smell on both nights though not unbearable.||Overall the stay is just plain ok but the service level|Made it...
Read moreApart from the newly renovated rooms and the lounge, this Renaissance did not look like, smell like, feel like one of the hotels under Bonvoy. The staff and customer services are of a local hotel standard.
The receptionist did not upgrade my room to a suite although I immediately shown him that Bonvoy App was still selling the suite online. The receptionist's respond was that the App was wrong. Furthermore, the room price dropped approximately 15% the day before my checking-in, it is hard to imagine that they do not have a suite available. He didn't arrange late check out either. So it is evidence that the Receptionist is un-familiar with the Bonvoy setup.
The concierge or bell service is of non-existence. The staff there did not offer any help for getting taxi or giving a helping hand for the baggage.
Check-in / check-out cannot be done at the lounge. This is the first time I come across a club lounge which cannot do check-in / check-out. This also reduce the customer experience, especially for loyal members. Housekeeping want to kick me out of the room as soon as it reaches the check-out time; and they cannot speak a word of English.
The hardware needed a lot of improvements too:
(1) The swimming pool and the gym are very rundown.
(2) There is no directional signage in the hotel, and there is no signage on the elevator buttons
(3) Taxi stand should be installed at the driveway so that guests do not have to go outside to the pavement and get runover by motor cycles
(4) Please enable checking-in facilities at the lounge
(5) Please renovate the interior of...

It's clean as well. The only issue with the room was it wasn't bright enough ot maybe it was just me. The room I booked includes 2 breakfast buffet and 2 dinner buffet, we were surprise that their resturant was on the highest floor (50th floor) with a 360 degree view as the restaurant was spinning in a veryy slow motion. This is the first time I had hotpot at a hotel buffer which made the whole experience interesting. We had fresh seafood for the dinner, when I said fresh it's really fresh from their food station and I give that a 10/10. Restaurtant got variety of food to choose from so really a good deal. Location. Very convenient, it's a walking distnace to the mall, there we many restaurants nearby too. My family and I went for a message at night, then on our way back to the hotel we saw couple of restaurants that were still open. Not only it's near the malls and restaurants but are also Spas around, where u can enjoy the whole day or night, they have Karaoke, buffet, sauna, steam, pool, swimming pool massage area , table tennis etc offer inside the spa. Overall, it was a great trip with a great hotel. Ps the staff were very helpful and...
