Hotel Sorrento — Hotel in Barranquilla

This apartahotel was bad in many ways: The shower passes electrical current, the utensils for cooking were old and stained, the counter top was broken, the bed hard as a rock, there were many noises outside the hotel from the taxi drivers and the bathroom smelled like mildew. Also one of the receptionist was rude. When we went to change the hotel it took them four days to return my money. We planned on staying 2 weeks and paid for 1 week in advance. We only stayed for 3 nights because of the bad service and the receptionist and the accountant did not know how to refund the outstanding 4 days to my credit card. At first they told me that the needed a bank that was based in Colombia to return the money so I gave them my Citibank account which has an office a few blocks away. The accountant said that he would put the money back in my account the next day. The next day came and went and I had no money. I went in the office and they said that the hotel manager had to approve this and was not able to because of a meeting and the money would be there the next day. We went back to the hotel the next day and was told we would be refunded in cash but that since it was after 6pm the hotel manager was not there and couldn't return the money.||Finally after 4 days we refunded the money.||||I would not...

It was a nice hotel with a great breakfast. The room was basically an apartment. I had issues with the Wi-fi throughout my stay due to "electrical" problems which really put a damper on my experience. Las instalaciones son antiguas, con una decoración tradicional, muy bien aseado, excelente atención, amplios y abiertos a la negociación según tus necesidades (muy económico), para nuestra estancia y lo que requeríamos en ese instante nos sirvió muchísimo porque nos quedamos en un espacio tipo apartamento muy amplio y tuvimos la facilidad de quedarnos muy cómodamente en familia y adecuarlo con cosas propias, teniendo en cuenta que nos quedamos más de dos semanas, tus inconvenientes tratan de solucionartelos de muy buena manera (ejemplo el internet, sería genial mejorar el servicio. No hay estufa por si acaso 😬), los desayunos son buenos, el aseo y el cambio de sábanas se realizan a pedido y todos los días te preguntan si lo requieres, es decir, que si lo quieres todos los días no hay problema, toda vez que siguen la nueva política de todos los hoteles en estos tiempos de ser ecoamigables, con el ahorro de agua etc etc. Tienen zona de parqueo en frente y para mayor seguridad parqueadero interno sobre la 72. Si busca comodidad y economía este es, pero si busca experiencia e instalaciones modernas siga buscando. PD: El ascensor está fuera de servicio, por ende si usted tiene movilidad reducida...
