Casa Capital Hostel Bogota — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

|I have been staying in hostels for over one and a half year now and have never been treated with such disrespect before. The staff is very very rude and unhelpful. The venezuelan guy in reception is rude to everyone and it's clear that he dislikes his job. I stayed over a week because I did not need much, as I spent the whole week planning my travels. They told me I could stay for another week, and that I could pay the next day, but when I was going to pay they had doubled booked already. They rudely told me there were more expensive rooms available. As none of the workers speaks English, I was handed the phone to speak with the owner, who was just as rude as the others. Another guy in my room overheard everything and we both chose to leave right away. The beds are comfortable but the workers are so rude they pull the whole hostel down. There is a Carulla supermarket nearby which is as expensive as in Sweden. There is nothing to do in the area and going to the Candelaria means paying taxi 2x 12,000 pesos. Do not even think about the pool, it has never been cleaned and Bogotá is too...

Our night in the dorm rooms of this hostel was extremely mediocre despite what previous reviews indicated. Our dorm room was cramped, the bunks rickety, the storage closet for our bags leaving an unknown sticky residue, the bathroom had a dismantled toilet seat, no soap and an out of use shower. The common areas however are quite nice with a ping pong table and living and kitchen areas were both clean and presentable. Glad we were only here...

WAO! me voy super satisfecho por la espectacular atención. El joven José fue muy amable desde el momento del Check-in, super atento y de igual manera todas las mañanas nos daba los Buenos Días con una sonrisa en su rostro; me gustó la disposición del personal 24/7 para ayudar en lo que necesitaramos los huéspedes. La verdad es que me sentí como en Casa, muy bien acogido y las instalaciones eran muy cómodas. Se respiraba un ambiente de tranquilidad y relajación. Igualmente el joven Camilo que me atendió cuando hice el Check out fue muy amable. Ubicación excelente (cuenta con restaurante, super mercado y cajero automático cerca) y muy buena señal de WiFi; las habitaciones muy limpias y cómodas.
