Hotel España — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

We stayed three nights in this odd but great hotel in the dead center of Bogota (Candelaria district). Loved the place for its kind personel, great room (you can take this literally; surface of 4x5 meter, ceiling at 3,5 meter), large beds and cleanliness. To share one bathroom (1 toilet, 1 shower) with a number of other rooms was a bit too much, however, and with our room situated at the front, there was some street noise during the weekend as well. Hi ||||I have stayed for one night in the hotel, the best things is the location, a perfect one for a walking distance sight seen of all the attractions nearby. The rooms are big, and sleep quality excellent. The reception is very cooperative. El Hotel es una empresa familiar, ubicado sobre la carrera séptima, en el inicio de la zona peatonal, apenas a dos cuadras de la Estación San Diego de Transmilenio, a dos cuadras del Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá, a dos del Teatro Jorge Eliecer Gaitán, a 4 del Museo Nacional, a una de la Sala de Cine Embajador..., en fin, en pleno corazón cultural de Bogotá. Cada domingo allí ocurre un carnaval, derivado del tradicional "Mercado de las Pulgas". En las tardes/noches por sus alrededores, sobre la septima, es común encontrar artistas en pleno show callejero, algunos de excelente calidad.
