This is a great hotel. I went here and was immensely satisfied with my experience. This is a hotel targeted towards business travelers, conveniently located in downtown Bogota, being only a five minute walk from the main business district and the Bancolombia headquarters. When I checked in, the concierge only spoke Spanish, but the doorman spoke English, so he was able to translate for me. This hotel had two elevators, which interestingly enough have different call buttons since they’re different sizes. My single room was a good size and had a desk with glass table, a nice bathroom with a glass shower, and a fabulous view of downtown. This hotel’s breakfast consists arepas, eggs, a ginger drink, croissants and bread with butter filling, and more. This hotel’s restaurant also serves pizza for lunch and dinner, but I didn’t try it since it was more expensive than restaurants offsite. I gave this hotel five stars because it’s in an amazing location, has nice rooms with good views, and tasty breakfast in an modern, upscale dining room. The lobby also has plenty of comfortable seating and excellent reception. My only complaint is that the walls of my room were quite thin so I could hear people in other rooms, and my mattress was quite firm. However, this hotel is overall quite excellent and I’d definitely stay here again and recommend you...
Read moreI live in Medellin and travel extensively all over Colombia as I am a TripAdvisor Destination Expert for Colombia (including Bogota) and so I found myself in Bogota for another visit and as I said in my October 2018 review of this hotel (Hotel San Francisco) that "I will be back" so this alone should tell you my feelings about this hotel, the value is incredible.||||I stayed on the 10th floor in a room facing Monserrate and was very comfortable. The check in process was good, could have been better but no complaints, yes the rooms are a bit dated and a little worn but everything worked including the hot shower, the wifi, the TV, the outlets, everything worked and made my 5 day stay comfortable.||||They also made improvements to the breakfast since my last visit. Nice hot and fresh coffee and eggs, what a great way to start the day.||||Like my previous stay I again drove in from Medellin where I live and more value as the hotel has a secure parking which is included in the price. Excellent. This hotel marks off all the boxes.||||So for 75,000 pesos I get a clean and comfortable room which includes a good breakfast and free parking for my car and I can walk to the Gold Museum or to the funicular at Monserrate in 20-25 minutes, this is VALUE, VALUE, VALUE.||||Like I said in October 2018 I repeat it again now, that is "I...
Read moreI have stayed here several times now and can recommend this hotel. The price and rates are usually very competitive. I have always found the reception staff very helpful and friendly. And I like the comfortable bed. I've always had good water pressure and hot water. There are some points to consider. The location is central and convenient for the main tourist areas of Bogotá as well as the airport. However the main avenue outside is busy and noisy. There are double glazed windows but if you are a very light sleeper you might prefer a room facing the more quiet street behind. You'd not have the nice view of Torre Colpatria and Montserrate however. The immediate area outside the hotel is not very nice. But it's just a couple of blocks from seventh avenue and the business areas. I'd be careful walking back at night and I would recommend taking a taxi or Uber after 8 pm. The free breakfast is decent with good choice including some fresh fruit. Some of my hot breakfast was cold however, on both days of our stay. And yes, the juice was watered down but I personally quite like that. They also offer complimentary coffee throughout the day which is a nice touch. I think it's very good value for money and always appreciated the...
