Hotel Expo Inn — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

The two positives are 1). its close to US Embassy, though there are a lot of places to choose from in the area. 2). It's very clean.

Cons: 1). Small room with no window, except the permanently curtained window in the hallway. 2). Noisy: you hear every door click, every conversation and every TV set. 3). Work began constructing above and beside my room at 7a. Had wanted to get more sleep but the pounding was nearly literally in your ear. 4). Spotty WiFi.

The location was perfect for me and highly recommended for those needing the U.S. Embassy on a tight budget. I was two blocks from the U.S. Embassy and the main street (Calle 24). Easy taxi rides to Gran Estacion Mall and Saltre Plaza for shopping needs. Stores, fast food, restaurants, cafes were all located within walking distance. Room was comfortable and had shower (with hot water), great wifi and a plasma TV (with great cable). I would stay here again and recommend it to others...

I will not be able to make the trip as the airlinne cancelled all flights to both Panama and Bogota. Therefore I tried cancelling the reservation but when I checked the confirmation email I realized that the money I paid would not be refunded.
