I was a bit reluctant to get a hotel without reviews, but my Colombian friends recommended this area as very safe (because it is literally right next to the USA embassy). Having stayed there, I confirm that the area is safe indeed. The reason the hotel lacks reviews is because it is just a couple years old. ||||The hotel itself is very nice, especially for its price, which was about $60 per night. I must say, I stayed in more expensive hotels in Bogotá, which I liked less. Everything inside this one works properly and tastefully decorated (I especially loved the hardwood floors and a power plug adapter in the room:)). The street and the hotel are extremely quiet at night, and, rather unusual for Colombia, hot water in the shower is really hot and the stream has a lot of pressure. The breakfast was nice: eggs, bread (the owners told me it can be arepas if i wanted to), freshly squeezed orange juice (it is common for Colombia to serve freshly squeezed juices) and coffee con leche. They also have a drinking cold/hot water dispenser on the floor (while the water in Bogota is good for drinking, I myself as a foreigner prefer bottled water so it was nice to always have some). The internet works just fine. ||||I really liked the owners, it seems it is a small family-operated business and they are very friendly and treat you personally and, as the previous reviewer said, are willing to go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Some of their staff speaks decent English, although I myself prefer to exercise my (poor) Spanish. :) Another good side of a small family-operated business is that I knew everyone and felt extremely safe leaving my things in the hotel. ||||I recommend this hotel, and, should my business bring me back to Bogotá, would like to...
Read moreWe went here only one night during our stopover in Bogotá. |The hotel has a free pickup from the airport. The transfer back to the airport is COL 20000 extra and takes about 20 minutes. |The check in went a bit slow, they needed a lot of information for their system and took another half hour. |The room was great with good beds and a good shower. |Breakfast was included en also very good. |The owners are...
