Hotel Portal de Oxum — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

There was no hot water. Instead there is a little machine thing on the wall and I got lukewarm water out of it at best. There was no closet, just a round bar on the wall with hangers where you could hang some clothing. The front desk people are very unhelpful. My flight got in early and I was at the hotel by 9:30am and they had no room available. They told me to come back at 3pm to check in. I told the women behind the desk to call me if a room opened up before 3pm, but did anyone call no? When I went to pay the front desk guy didn't tell me he was adding an extra $3000 pesos to the bill and was just going to charge it without telling me. So obviously like a normal person I got pissed because the appropriate thing to do is tell the guest what they are being charged for. Not tell them the price is $X and then next you know it says something entirely different on the credit card machine. I told hm forget it and Instead I went to the atm and withdrew the money. I didnt manage to stay here, when we arrived with my girlfriend they had no place in the hotel, they sent us to another hotel of the same owner at 2:30 in the morning, the owner was very rude and the other hotel of lower quality and in a dangerous area in Bogota. Since it was very late and we were going around in a taxi we finally stayed there despite the rudeness of the owner. in a room with no windows. Oxum Bochica. Then next day I called HRS and told them that they didnt respect the reservation so I was going to find another hotel, I tried to pay by credit card the night we stayed they took 110 Euros for 3 nights even though I had only authorized the first night wich was around 30 euros, I had to go and argue with the person in the other hotel who did that, they finally gave me back the money in cash and I found another hotel and left, then when I get back home I find out they took again 110 Euros from the card I had made the reservation, I am claiming the money to HRS, these people are thieves I see that there are already more bad comments that good, so I am not the first one to be robbed by them, do not stay in this hotel for...

Never stay here, they steal your money! I stayed here for 5 nights. I got advance booking promo 55% off, the reservation said includes free breakfast and free wireless internet.When I arrived the hotel the guy didn´t want to charge me, he said later. The last night he was charging me more than double price of the reservation. He said the price with the travel agency was wrong. I spent hours over the phone with the travel agency. He left me go, saying that he will arrange with the travel agency but days later I realized that he charged my card for more than double of original price, without my autorization!!! Almost 2 months later I got my money back, just because the travel agency paid him the full amount but he had my money to much time, telling me that he will refund today (for almost 1 month with same story). Now that I have my money back I would tell that this was a terrible experience and that I will never stay here again.
