Hotel Real Estación — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

We stayed for 2 nights before, and 3 nights after a tour of Colombia. The hotel was friendly and helpful, and the rooms compact but clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were very good, no other meals were available but there were a number of snack and drink bars nearby. The airport can be reached in 10 minutes but often takes much longer because of the Bogota traffic. The efficient taxi service got us to the central areas, and we were given a card with the hotel's name, address and phone number which we could show the taxi drivers when returning. Occasionally there was some noise as our rooms had a window to the central light-well, mainly early in the mornings. There was an elevator. Little English was spoken, as elsewhere in Columbia.We wished we had studied our Spanish language course...

We have stayed at Real Estacion on 4 occasions in March and May 2016. On each occasion we were given a warm welcome and in the morning the lady who makes and serves the included breakfast is absolutely charming and friendly.||The en-suite bedrooms where we stayed were all clean, modern and comfortable.||I have no hesitation in recommending anyone who wishes accommodation convenient to the airport, which is 10 kms away, or to visit the city to make a reservation here at this hotel. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in September on our return trip to Bogota .The hotel itself is fine but needs a little work ,rooms are good size and fairly clean but just a few little things that need fixing ! What's special about this place is the amazing staff especially Venessa who did soooooo much to help us with problems we had with our airline bookings ,she was so patient and helpful and the fact that she spoke excellent English was a life saver to us ( she deserves to be in good position in five star hotel ) there was also another girl whose name I forget who was helpful too .|| All in all hotel was fine ,breakfast was very good but ir was the staff that really impressed us .|| Hope the owner...
