Hampton by Hilton Bucaramanga — Hotel in Bucaramanga

I stayed in this hotel for one night in order to catch a plane the next day, so I didn't have too much expectation. However, it is a comfortable and quiet place even though it is on a busy street and with a lot of guests during the Holy Week. The room has a big space for me to put my luggage and move around (ususally it is placed with unnecessary furniture). It doesn't use carpet which I feel very clean and fresh. Staff are very lovely and helpful, which excess the 3.5 hotel service. ||||2 things I would like to mention for improvement. The breakfast seating was a little chaotic. When I went back to my table after taking some more food, someone took over my table already. I think Hilton should be experience enough to have system to avoid it. Another thing is the hot chocolate. I ordered one cup at night in the restaurant. It was tasteless. I mean, it was a little sweet, thick and brown, that's it. There's no taste of chocolate at all. Next morning, I found that it's same as the one in the free breakfast. Shouldn't a better quality can be served for a cup of 6,000 cop hot chocolate in Hilton? Especially in Colombia where you can get good hot chocolate in local cafes. ||||Anyways, it's a great stay, Breakfast area is small but it has a lot of choices and the food is fresh and delicious. Catastrophic experience!

We booked through Booking.com and arrived late in the evening. After completing the full check-in process, we were suddenly informed that they couldn’t accommodate us and that we were being rebooked to another hotel. We received no prior notice whatsoever and were forced to go through the entire check-in procedure unnecessarily.

The hotel we were sent to was an absolute disgrace — loud, filthy, and with terrible air quality. It is simply outrageous to send guests across the city in the middle of the night without any prior communication.

Since, to our surprise, we had to pay at the replacement hotel while we had already paid through Booking for Hampton by Hilton, we inquired about how to get our money back. The next day, the hotel informed us that our booking had been canceled and the room had been given to someone else. Due to the high occupancy of hotels, it was difficult to find a replacement, and we had to make private arrangements ourselves.

I strongly advise against booking this hotel, especially if you are traveling for business and rely on a professional process to make efficient use of your time.

I also urge the management at Hampton by Hilton to seriously investigate how such an unacceptable experience could occur. A simple apology is nowhere near enough to make up for...

The hotel is in an excellent location. Located right in central core amongst many restaurants and cafes with a beautiful park just outside the front doors. The rooms are very nice and updated with comfortable beds. The gym is not over the top but it is all you need to work up a good sweat. I should mention they have an excellent rooftop patio to take in the views.|| The entire staff at this hotel are all very pleasant and greet you with a genuine smile. The service is fantastic in the restaurant area and the breakfast has a good variety of choices and accommodated my wife without hesitation due to allergies. ||A very special shoutout to Martha. She was our waitress however; apparently she is the supervisor of housekeeping and she was just helping out in the dining room. It was absolutely a delight to be served by her.
