Hotel Atenas Jericó — Hotel in Cabecera Municipal Jericó

I made a reservation for a groupe of 5 person, 2 rooms in November for the yearly end of January literary festival. I Asked then if I need to pay for reservation, I was told I didn’t be Denise. Early January Denise asked me to pay 50% for the reservation. I complied and reminded her that we needed rooms on the second floor per our November conversation . This was the 3rd year I came to Atenas. On our arrival, I was asked to pay for the balance of the rooms. I asked to see the rooms, it wasn’t at all what we agreed upon The rooms were cramped in the moldy basement without ventilation…. I was told if I was happy they will refund the rooms, that they could rent them out within the hour. Once a year, for the festival, all the hotel rooms are fully booked in the charming town. This was a let down and a complete lack of customer service. I don’t recommend this place, there are many other offers in town within the same price range and much friendlier and...

This is living in an art gallery. There are about as many cute little lounging dens as there are rooms. A feast for the eyes everywhere you look! Loved it. Some rooms have adorable wooden windows that swing open out into the common areas. Natural light filters into many of lounges and easy to find a space to chill. A picture is worth a 1000 words so I attached some. Common area balconies overlook the street. Just wow! How to describe this hotel? It is like a hippie designed the interior, it is really cool with art work here and there and mismatched furniture and odds's and ends here and there, stair cases with entry's and exists into hallways and sitting areas, again you have to just be there and observe it to understand it.||||All in all I am glad I stayed as I will never forget it.
