Hotel Metrópolis Plaza — Hotel in Cali

I was on a business trip to Cali and Metropolis Plaza was the closest hotel to the offices (ten minute walk), so it was the obvious choice.||||Hotel is located on a busy intersection, so it is a little noisy if the windows are open. On the other hand, it is very hot and humid in Cali so you will probably have the A/C on, and window closed.||Down the street from the hotel (less than 5 minutes walking distance) is a shopping mall, with a dozen of restaurants with a variety of different cuisine, and some trendy shops.||||Rooms are clean, there is free wifi, and the staff is friendly, although not all of them speak English.||||Breakfast is decent, but a to little variations for a 7 day stay.||||There is a pool on the roof, but it is not advertised by the staff, and there are not much facilities there, except for a shower, and some...

Hace unos años habíamos visitado este hotel mi pareja y yo y teníamos buen recuerdo de nuestra experiencia.||En esta ocasión lamentablemente no fue igual, la reserva la teníamos por 17 noches; pero al final solo estuvimos 14 ya que decidimos irnos para buscar una alternativa mejor, no nos marchamos antes solo por la ubicación del hotel que es muy céntrica, aunque la "encargada", nos invitó a marcharnos si no estábamos a gusto; cuando le hicimos unas sugerencias para mejoría del hotel.||Al hacer la reserva pregunté por la piscina ya que nos gusta nadar, me dijeron que estaba habilitada nuestra sorpresa fue que al llegar estaba fuera de servicio y al parecer no desde hace poco, por lo que no pudimos disfrutar de ella... por ahí ya empezamos mal.||La limpieza de las habitaciones y en especial la del baño deja mucho que desear la parte de la ducha nunca la limpiaron y tenía restos de moho negro por todas las juntas, los productos de aseo se les olvidaba ponerlos.||La política de cobro del hotel es incómoda para el cliente, ya que te quieren cobrar casi al día, pero en el momento de la reserva te dicen que el saldo restante lo pagas al final; no hay coordinación entre los empleados en cuanto a la información que dan al cliente."
