I stayed in this hotel from the 13th to the 15th of April, and had a superior room booked in advance. ||||Arriving, the not very friendly female receptionist had us put in a regular room. After some hassle, that was changed to room that was actually booked and paid for. Later, according to her, the IT system “did not allow her to” generate an extra door key for my Colombian girlfriend. Ok, so.... only hotel (or perhaps the only receptionist) in the world that cannot generate two door cards... That was also solved the next day by another receptionist. ||||Jacuzzi on the roof not working. ||||The night from Saturday to Sunday, the staff was cleaning continuously on the 7th floor (I was on the 6th) during the night from 11 pm to about 1:30 am. Loud, banging noises. Running around. Talking. In other words, imposible to sleep. I went down to the reception at about 00:30, complained, got a I-don’t-care-look back from the receptionist - and the noise continued. This really disturbed my sleep. Getting a good nights sleep is really one of the key issues in any hotel, so you got to ask yourself what kind of hotel management allows the staff to keep the guests from doing just that by running around and making noise during the night ???||||I’ll stay somewhere else the next time. ||||Oh, and.... I’m pretty sure that this will get a annotation from the management saying that they are sorry, and they are trying to improve and bla bla bla. Well, the thing is... you don’t really get the chance to make a good impression on the clients more than just once.||||Not...
Read moreI normally stay at another hotel in a bit of a more central location but decided to give this hotel a try. I must say that I guess I was lucky. I had a room on the forth floor and I found it to be very quiet with good AC and WiFi connection. Standard accommodations nothing fancy. Some odd footprints were on the floor of the room which seemed to have been unremovable. The little rooftop area was nice the sauna was not working and we didn’t try out the jacuzzi so I cannot comment on that. My cousin stayed with me one night as we would be in the side of the city and we asked for another key and also received a similar dumbfounded look, ultimately to be told they can only provide one key so if we needed just to leave the key at the front desk. Surprised by this impracticality. Breakfast was nice but I would recommend that breakfast end at 1000 am on weekdays and 1100 on weekends. It ends at 0900 weekdays and I found this to be too early especially when you may not have to be somewhere early. We were offered “insurance” not sure what this was for but we declined. It is located in one of the best neighborhoods in Cali with frequent security...
Read moreFirstly, the staff was wonderful. I don’t speak Spanish, and they were so helpful. They helped arrange cab rides, and just overall so friendly. The rooms leave a lot to be desired. There is a breezeway, that extends from the lobby to all floors. It’s basically a shaft and all the noise and sound travel. You hear every door opening, every footstep, everything. The free breakfast is below par from other places I’ve been, not much variety from day to day. The restaurant was very good otherwise. I was there a month, and never had a bad meal. The bed is super comfy. I like a firm bed, and this was just right. As others have said, towels were stained, and they are fairly thin as well. If you choose to stay here, get the Rappi app. It’s their version of ubereats. You’ll be...
