Platillos Voladores Ciudad Jardín — Restaurant in Cali

One of my most disappointing experiences ever. Besides the food being mediocre at best, the service was incredibly bad. An embarrassment for me after suggesting that restaurant to my relatives. A normal dinner your take about 90 minutes on a busy night....this one took THREE HOURS! And the place was half empty! As a sample, just a coffee and desert took 35 minutes to reach the table! The coffee took 15 minutes and the desert 35 ordered at the same time. Ours should have been a nice family reunion, but the moronic staff managed to turn it into a stressful situation for all. I will never set up foot in that place again. Too many failures in service...

It was recommended as one of the best restaurants in Cali, so I went there with that expectation. It's a modern space with some nice design details and cozy lighting.

The menu it seems to be a fusion of Colombian traditional food with a modern and international twist. We ordered to start a shrimp in coconut sauce and fried banana, really good and some kind of spring rolls that were ok. For main course, I ordered a slow cooked meat with a "salsa negra". Great food, concepts and flavours. Service too was fast, friendly and careful. The pure' de maduro was to 'die for' delicious!

The only fault that I have is that some of my food was not warm/ hot but served to me cool. Otherwise, I loved it.

Pricey for Colombian food but make it hotter and I'll eat here again for sure. I don't mind paying more for great food and this is great food, beautifully presented.
