Hotel Puerta de San Antonio — Hotel in Cali

If you are a traveling to Cali Colombia, STEER CLEAR from HOTEL PUERTA DE SAN ANTONIO unless you have a PRINTED reservation of some kind, the receptionists are ruthless and completely discriminatory, and will not have a problem endangering your life. We made the DIRE mistake thinking that we could approach the hotel for lodging since mind you they were not answering the phone, and we were pretty close so we decided to grab an Uber and inquire directly to see if any rooms were available. It was pretty late, around 12:30 at night.The receptionist, took one look at US and did not even ALLOW us entry into the lobby. She spoke through the miniscule crack in the sliding doors, "We are full, sorry." It's fine if they are full, but mind you, it was ALMOST 1 AM at night, and she didn't even open the Hotel doors for us so we could wait for our next tranportation, which left us completely exposed and without transportation for a full 15 MINUTES. She refused us entry to even the Lobby so that we could be SAFE while we ordered another UBER. In the middle of the night, in CALI, a city that can become very dangerous very quickly. She could definitely see that we were afraid and alone, and showed absolutely no empathy or even solution, on the contrary she seemed disgusted and annoyed at us. The sad part is, we have paid lodging there before, a total of 3 nights, it was not only extremely humiliting to not even be viewed as a human being, she treated us like we were stray animals trying to look for shelter when all we needed was a safe space to stand in a building in a lobby while our other transportation arrived. I WILL NEVER ever give my business to these people again. What a shameful way to treat people of any color, do better HOTEL PUERTA DE SAN ANTONIO. Este ha sido, sin duda, uno de los peores hoteles en los que me he hospedado en mi vida. Mi estadía coincidió con la Feria de Cali, una época de alta demanda, pero eso no justifica el cúmulo de problemas que enfrenté desde el momento en que llegué: Cobro indebido: Al momento del check-in, me realizaron un cobro superior al acordado en la plataforma donde reservé el servicio. Atención deficiente y trato grosero: El personal del hotel (servicio de aseo, cocina y recepción) es sumamente descortés. En un punto de la estadía, retiraron las toallas de la habitación y, al solicitarlas nuevamente, nos dijeron en recepción: “Si encontramos toallas, vengan por ellas, porque aquí no hay servicio a la habitación”. Falta de servicios básicos: En una ciudad como Cali, con temperaturas elevadas, es inaceptable que no se ofrezca agua potable para consumo. Higiene deplorable: Las sábanas y toallas estaban manchadas con fluidos de origen cuestionable, algo completamente inaceptable. Desayuno insuficiente y problemas de suministro: La primera noche cortaron el servicio de gas, y el desayuno, que estaba incluido en la tarifa, consistió en medio sándwich y tres pedazos pequeños de piña. Infraestructura deteriorada: Las cisternas de los baños no funcionan, tampoco los secadores ni algunos puntos de corriente de las habitaciones. Las cortinas estaban dañadas y sucias. Además, la ducha está diseñada de manera tan deficiente que cada uso termina inundando tanto el baño como la habitación. Para colmo, el ascensor estaba fuera de servicio. Desorganización extrema: La noche de nuestra llegada, el nivel de caos era tal que la recepcionista intentó asignarnos una habitación que ya estaba ocupada e incluso ingresó en ella mientras los huéspedes dormían.
