If visiting the Santa Marta area Hosta Mirador Babel is the very best option. The location is spectacular if you are looking for super comfortable rooms with incredible views. The bar & pool are noteworthy as well. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Our short stay was full of memorable moments. It is located about a 10 minute walk from Playa de Taganga. The nightlife is amazing and this is the point of embarkment for boats heading into Tayrona.

Laatención por parte de las dos personas que nos atendieron una a la llegada y otra al desayuno, fue muy desinteresada, no nos dieron la bienvenida ni ofrecieron el desayuno, todo se debía preguntar y uno mismo ir ofreciendo las respuestas, antes de llegar hice una pregunta por el menú la cuando respondieron más de 4 horas después cuando ya estábamos en el lugar, así mismo a las 3pm apenas una hora después del check in m, llegaron a la habitación dos personas de mantenimiento a arreglar el sofá quienes tardaron media hora en el arreglo aun sabiendo que ya era el tiempo de nosotros para disfrutar de la estadía. La habitación es bastante grande sin embargo tiene goteras, el TV no tiene internet, no cuenta con minibar, la ducha del baño es el solo tubo, el balcón no cuenta con techo por lo cual como llovió no pudimos usar en ningún momento, la piscina se veía sucia, como estaba lloviendo y nada tiene techo las zonas en común tampoco se podían usar. El hotel está bien ubicado y tiene una excelente vista.

El sitio tiene una vista espectacular, la habitación atardecer, es tal cual las imágenes y es muy bonita. La ubicación no es muy buena y no permite hacer desplazamientos fáciles entre las zonas turísticas de santa Marta, hay que esperar transporte público el cuál tiene un horario hasta las 6 pm y de ahí en adelante hay que coger taxi el cual no te ayudan a conseguir, esto hace que los desplazamientos sean costosos. El desayuno siempre es el mismo y lo sirven muy tarde, lo que limita si se van a hacer tours los cuales empiezan muy temprano con las agencias. El servicio de aseo a la habitación hay que solicitarlo lo que no es práctico ni genera comodidad. El hotel no cuenta con restaurante para almuerzos ni cenas, hay que pedir a domicilio a restaurantes del sector. Las mas de 100 escaleras lo hacen un hotel para personas con buen fisico y si van a subir maletas lo hace poco práctico, no recomendado para personas mayores o con alguna discapacidad.

When you’re in the Santa Marta area, there are so many places to stay. Stick to the basics. Pick that backpacker spot everyone recommends where you share a room with 12 snoring strangers. You’ll love it.

Because if you come to Casa Babel in Taganga, you might accidentally enjoy yourself too much. You might end up watching sunsets from a mountaintop, sipping dangerously good cocktails by the pool, and sleeping in a tastefully decorated, clean room with a comfy bed.

They’ve made it too nice. The vibe is relaxed, the village is real, and the views? Unfair. My only complaint: turn the music down just a notch and this place becomes an international magnet.

So yeah, don’t go here… unless you want more than...

DO NOT BOOK THIS ACCOMMODATION! We paid for two nights for a room with sea view, balcony and king size bed. Check in and first night everything was fine. In the morning a super unfriendly lady comes and says we have to leave the room because they have another booking. We already PAID for TWO nights for this room.
