When you’re in the Santa Marta area, there are so many places to stay. Stick to the basics. Pick that backpacker spot everyone recommends where you share a room with 12 snoring strangers. You’ll love it.
Because if you come to Casa Babel in Taganga, you might accidentally enjoy yourself too much. You might end up watching sunsets from a mountaintop, sipping dangerously good cocktails by the pool, and sleeping in a tastefully decorated, clean room with a comfy bed.
They’ve made it too nice. The vibe is relaxed, the village is real, and the views? Unfair. My only complaint: turn the music down just a notch and this place becomes an international magnet.
