There were cobwebs in almost all of the corners in the rooms ( I experienced 3 rooms while there do to EXCESSIVE street noise into the wee hours of the morning ). |The tile floors were incredibly dirty. Walking barefoot in the rooms for 5 minutes before showering my feet were almost black see snaps.|In 2 out of the 3 rooms the shower/ tub grouting was severely discoloured in multiple areas......??? Makes you wonder.... Then I was very upset with a shady / dishonest incident with having laundry washed. I inquired at the front desk if there was a laundry room that I could utilize since I travel with supplies to freshen up clothing.… we were told the laundry would be done at no charge ( just tip the staff ) yet when we went to pick it up, we were told we owed $10.00 USD for the service. It is not the money that upset me, it was the younger man at the desk in the evening who told us that if I did not pay we were not getting our clothes back. My girlfriend spent over half an hour speaking on the phone with a manager or owner who insisted this was our mistake/misunderstanding. |The woman I traveled with was born and raised in Costa Rica, so there was no misunderstanding due to language.. ||This facility should not be called an Inn & Suites as no shampoo / conditioner / body lotion was provided. Also the continental brekke in the...
Read moreI recently stayed here with my son and husband. Our room was by far the worst hotel room we have experienced. The small internal room with no windows to natural light had two double beds crammed into the space. There was a window in the room that faces the internal stairwell. The window had a roll down shade but did not block the incoming light from inside the hotel. It is hard to imagine, I have included a photo of the room with the lights off to illustrate the issue. The beds were very uncomfortable. The shower drained very slow so we were standing in water while showering. The accommodations included either parking or a trip to the airport. We arrived, parked, and went to eat dinner. At dinner we decided it made more sense to return our rental car that evening due to our very early flight the next day. Upon arrival, we asked the front desk to assist us with a taxi for the morning that we would pay for. They seemed very put off by our change in plans reminding us he offered parking OR airport shuttle. We repeated we planned to pay for the taxi. We never felt welcome by staff at this hotel. I cannot speak to the breakfast as we had to depart before breakfast was served. The location was convenient enough to walk to dinner, but this in no way overcomes the poor quality of the room and service. We would not recommend...
Read moreHi.
On Wednesday, June 11th, I needed to stay in downtown Alajuela and was looking for a place to stay and spend the night safely, in a clean, comfortable room, and to be able to leave my car in a safe and nearby location.
I found this incredibly wonderful hotel—safe, clean, and with exceptionally professional and humane customer service.
They only had one suite left, and even though I was the only one staying in the room, they were kind enough to reserve it for me.
I sincerely thank Mr. José who initially took my call.
Then Alberto's service at the front desk was wonderful, explaining everything that the room included, from parking for my car to the included breakfast, the possibility of using the pool, and the nearby amenities, such as supermarkets, bank branches, and more.
In the morning, Jessica's attention maintained the excellent customer service I had already received from the hotel staff.
I also want to mention the room cleaners who also helped me with some aspects of my visit.
I want to thank you for the valuable service I received and recommend this hotel for its excellent quality and service.
Thank you so much and much more success.
I pray God continues to...
