It was our last night in Costa Rica and we didn't know that many restaurants were closing early because they were celebrating a holiday. We wanted to have a nice fancy dinner, but it was getting late and when we stopped at Chiwake, it was already closed; however Hanns (one of the servers) was SO kind! He suggested other places and even got out to walk us to a couple of restaurants across the street (more casual but at least some were still open). He recommended La Calle Street Food which was wonderful! We'll definitely go to Chiwake when we're back in Costa Rica because their menu looks great and Hanns was the sweetest trying to help us have a great experience even if it was not at the restaurant where he works since it was already close. Gracias...

This was one stop that I had to make when I passed through Alajuela ( been here three times prior) but no more. If I'm going to pay$115 for a dinner for three this place doesn't even come close in value for the price. At least...

But in front of us was Peruvian food! Husband was hangry, so I encouraged us to just stop here and eat. Everything was tasty, the service and ambience were lovely, I'd definitely go back. I gave the food 4 stars only because my order (the arroz chaufa) was tasty but not nearly as flavorful as my usual Peruvian restaurant. But everything was enjoyed by everyone, and a teenager gobbled up every last bit...
