Hotel Alajuela Costa Rica Airport — Hotel in Alajuela

The online photos are nothing like the rooms in person. Our door to the room was decaying and the walls were hardly painted. The lighting is dim and there is barely any space in the room itself. The showers are not great either in terms of space or cleanliness. There was no A/C either and our windows were right by the stairwell where anyone could look into the room. The air was quite musty and stale because there was no A/C. When we went to ask for a refund the manager gave us a hard time but we got it. In addition, a free airport shuttle was advertised when in reality, they just called us a taxi service and we had to pay for it. Booking.com and the original hotel website falsely advertised this place for something it is not. Do not stay here unless your standards of living...

I stayed here one night and it was not pleasant. The staff was very nice, but the power went out and I was left in a pitch black room at 6pm. Power was sent restored until around 8:30pm. You also can hear EVERYTHING. There was a couple have very intimate moments throughout the entire night (and during the day) and you could hear every detail. It was difficult to sleep and impossible to avoid. There was a lot of pounding on the door and as a solo traveler I didn’t feel very safe. The wifi didn’t work...

Avoid. Barely passable even if you’re on a really tight budget and spending only 1 night there. The window in the room was smashed in and another window wouldn’t close so the traffic noise was horrible. The breakfast is served in a corridor with no place to sit but a two-seater couch. They advertise free wifi, but it did not reach my room. The staff is friendly, hence two stars...
