La Jolla Hotel — Hotel in Cóbano

We arrived a little earlier we had the reservation and there where nobody there, only one person who said he was the one who was in charge of the maintenance of this place but not of the hotel… so we asked if we could leave the bags somewhere so we could go out to take a walk around the city, but he said he couldn’t do that and made us wait a long time there doing nothing… but this wasn’t the worst thing, finally he gave us a room and we left our belongings inside and we went out… the thing is that when we came back my pc was missing… even when I hide it under some beach towels because we didn’t trust this place at all. it was missing like somebody just entered in the room and was looking what to steal! So we went back to this person “who said he was only the maintenance guy” and we told him what just happened and he just said that he couldn’t help us at all that he could try to call the owner of the hotel but nothing else, we asked about the cameras and he said they weren’t working for some time… So we waited and meanwhile another guest who heard us came to us and said he saw somebody in his room last night as well when he came back from the beach and, surprised, asked him what he was doing there, this boy told him that he had the wrong room and apologized and left, this guest realized that the locked of his window wasn’t working properly… So finally “the maintenance guy” came back and he said that the owner didn’t answer the phone and we could go to the police to file a complaint, he gave us a number phone to contact him and we left the hotel very disappointed. Later on , we checked the number he gave us and we realized he blocked us from whatsapp! It was a nightmare and a mistake to stay there even if it was for one night, I don’t recommend this place at all if you don’t want to lose your belongings and if you want to have a nice time; there are so many options out there, but this place is rly the worst place I have ever been in my life. Please don’t trust the pictures of that hotel - they don’t show the reality at all. When we arrived the room was dirty, the shower and the door were broken. Furthermore, except the beds (btw also broken at the side), two towels (for 3 person) and one cup there were no more other equipment (like tower hooks or a shelf for clothes), not in the bathroom and not in the bedroom. The balcony door cannot be closed properly at all so that animals can come in and it was not possible to keep away the extrem loud noise from the busy street and the 3 bars around. After trying 3 different WhatsApp numbers (the reception was empty) we were finally able to reach out to someone responsible. The shower and door were fixed late in the night. Although we weren’t able to shower before the morning since the clue at the shower had to dry. The very next morning the water didn’t work at all in the bathroom. We claimed it again. (second time we couldn’t shower or even brush teeth). In the evening water stopped again right in the middle of having a shower. The owner promised us via WhatsApp he will refund one night after check out via PayPal as a compensation. But after check out he didn’t do any transfer although we asked two times. At the end he changed his face/behaviour from friendly to impolitely via what’s App as the screenshots show. Last but not least no one wants to stay at the offered pool - no sun beds or sth similar, right next to a street with heavy traffic/noise and most of the time the hotel care taker sits next to it and watch. It’s weird. In total the whole stay wasn’t what we paid for. We didn’t receive the service and location we were looking for the last 4 days of our holidays. A stay at a simple nice hostel would have spent more peace and a better time for less...
