My husband and I stayed at Cabinas Cahuita for 4 nights recently and really enjoyed our stay.||The man who runs it is so friendly and willing to help however he can. |Any question you have will be answered. ||For a really good price, you get air conditioning (and TV with cable) and a little pool to cool off in, or tan beside. I loved having both and also the fact that it didn't break our budget! I'm not normally a huge fan of air conditioning but it was great here because it was quite humid. ||The location of Cabinas Cahuita is really convenient as it's just s few hundred meters away from the bus station. It's also located right outside the national park and you can hear howler monkeys, which is pretty cool. ||The rooms were really clean and a good size. The bathroom was clean as well - note however that there is not hot water. It wasn't cold, it just wasn't hot. ||The kitchen was functional but I wouldn't consider it fully stocked. It was very clean though. ||Wifi is strongest in the rooms closer to the kitchen. ||All in all, Cabinas Cahuita was a great place to stay and I'd totally...
Read moreWe spent here 2 nights after we have read the fantastic recommendations on booking. ||Meanwhile the owner/renter has changed â and obviously the quality as well. For me is Cabinas Cahuita just average, nothing special or very good. It's right now time for a renovation, and the cleanliness could be better. ||||The new french renter is a friendly person, unlikely his staff isnât that great. Seems, that they are her just for vacations, not for work. Additionally they donât speak english, just french. ||||||Another remark: Considering the former comments, there is no more daily room cleaning. ||All in all: basic. Compared with other accommodations in Cahuita obviously fair for money (we paid 30 USD/night for a twin bed room with aircon and TV).||||The hostel provides a kitchen which is equipped with the essential things for cooking. Unfortunately no clean towels, no coffee, no drinking water .....||||My rating||||+ friendly owner||+ nice small pool||+ located 300 m next to Cahuita National Park||o cleanliness||-- wifi (very slow, partially not working â...
Read moreWhat an incredible stay! The owners are so kind, knowledgeable and helpful, and despite some chaos on our end around travel issues, Kim was so flexible and accommodating, above and beyond! The location is absolutely perfect for Cahuita. Walking distance to the beach & the park, and you will find monkey and sloths all around you if you know where to look! Beds were comfortable, room was clean and the AC is such a gift if mosquitos bother you. Plus the shared space for kitchen and garden was such a delight as it gave an opportunity to meet other travelers. We went to both Puerto Viaje and Cahuita, and if you skip Cahuita you are making a huge mistake! No other park in Costa Rica gave us nearly as many wildlife sightings (nowhere in La Fortuna, Monte Verde, or Montezuma/Santa Teresa) and we feel so lucky to have stumbled across these cabinas and the wonders theyâre surrounded by. Canât recommend highly...
