Aroma, Coffee Bar & Breakfast — Restaurant in Cahuita

Overall, very poor experience here. We were a party of 6 and had brunch over the weekend at Aroma. 5 out of 6 of us ordered dishes with fruit, without exception all of the fruit was spoiled and not fit for serving to diners.

One of the individuals in our party ordered a breakfast yogurt/oatmeal with watermelon, the watermelon was spoiled. This person ended up putting aside 3/4 of her dish. Another 4 members of our party had ordered dishes with fruit, without expcetion all the fruit was spoiled, especially the watermelon. It's tough to hide spoiled watermelon, it tastes sour and has a rubbery/slimey texture.

We informed the server and cashier of this problem. They didn't care to do anything at all and simply stated the fruit was fine.

To all the visitors of Cahuita, there are much better cafes & breakfast places in the area; and at much better prices.

As for the business owner, please don't bother to respond with any sort of excuse to this review. We politely notified you of the bad fruit and your simple reply was: "the fruit is fine". We should have insisted you eat the bad fruit in front of...

Disappointing experience… we were waiting for 30 minutes and were not served. We went inside to place the order - after another 20 minutes we went back in to ask where our coffees were. The very rude lady told us that she has to work off a list in order of the incoming orders (including food orders) and that we were free to leave if we don’t want to wait. Note: we only wanted 2 simple cappuchinos. This is not a very nice manner to deal with clients. Also, they should hire more staff if they are not able to keep up with all the orders and train them hiw to deal with customers. It‘s a pity, because the cafe looks nice and the menu too (although a little overpriced). Long story short: we left without getting anything. Sorry, but not recommended. If you don’t want my money, someone else...

I never write reviews. This place more than deserves the time it takes to say…. INCREDIBLE. After tasting some of the best places in Cahuita - this place when’s the prize in my mind for the best food— atmosphere and friendly people who run the place. Clean - incredible tasting - getting up feeling refreshed food. I can’t handle the grease from a lot of going out to eat but this place I could literally have everyday. The menu has a huge variety of food including veggie/vegan options. 3rd time eating at this wonderful spot and we aren’t done. The owner is wonderful and the vibe of the place gets the highest marks for clean, tidy and comfortable. On a quiet road. I’ll stop here. Just try it… top 3 places to eat in all Cahuita imo.
