This is more like a run down hostel rather than a hotel. The rooms are very small and in need of updating. Aside from the beds, a chair, and small table there was no other furniture nor a closet in our room so you can't unpack, you have to live out of your suitcase.
The staff was nice and friendly but housekeeping didn't make beds or clean our room during our stay. They only seemed to clean between guest visits. We were there for 3 nights and didn't get fresh towels until we asked. No room service but there is a small restaurant on the property open from 8am until 9 or 10pm. If you have an early tour start time (like we did) you aren't getting breakfast. There is no staff on-site over night so you have to wait till morning for any issues but I think there was security there in case of emergencies.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. You have access to several warm pools filled with water that was diverted from hot springs literally 12 steps outside your room. These are open until 10pm at night and they are amazing for soaking in the evening after a long day of hiking and going on tours. The place is close to downtown so you have easy access to shopping and dining in less than a 5 minute drive, without the noise and traffic.
The price is low but the savings isn't worth the inconvenience...
Read moreI have found this hotel to be very cozy, small hotel, excellent meals cooked home style, total of 11 rooms is all but well kept, the pool is a thermal pool which is heated by adding volcanic hoy water according to the need, the personnel is great, attended by the owner/ administrator, it is quiet and if there is a complaint about noise it is taken care of at once. It is close enough to all major attractions in the Fortuna area. I personally enjoy the 2 options they offered ether a breakfast only or a 3 meal option, I went with the 3 meal option. For me this hotel lives up to its name RELAX. I was surprised to find that the construction was made from used shipping containers witch pleased me and explained the rather small rooms but yet very comfortable. Due to the covit pandemic access to the near by hot springs with the same name "Termalitas" is restricted and the entrance fee must be payed (no big deal). As for, me this is a hotel I will be very happy to...
Read moreVery pleasant stay. Value for money as we get free hot spring pass and free breakfast. Please note this is a 2-3 star level hotel, so rooms are just good enough for stay, but nothing fancy or luxury. Our room was having bugs and no wifi, we were offered another room within 30 mins which was good for our 4 day stay.
Best part of the stay was free admission to the Termalitas Hot Springs, which was a very good quality Hot Springs. We liked the Termalitas Hot Springs (for hot spring pools alone) better than Baldi. Looks like they are building it as there is no reception area or hotel there, where Baldi is more commercialized... but much more crowd in similar kind of pools.
Free breakfast is excellent at this place. Please note that restaurant review is only for breakfast which is excellent (husband/wife stay there till about noon), after that there's another lady who works till evening and food is not as good in...
