My girlfriend and I enjoyed this thermal springs when we originally went on Wednesday. However, that completely changed when we interacted with this man who works here in the photo when we tried to come back. The hotel I was staying at offered me to go to this springs or one nearby and said it doesn’t matter what one I go to. The person night one took it and this guy working had a terrible attitude (in the photo) and told me and my girlfriend we weren’t allowed in now with the same reservation from the night before. He was extremely disrespectful to us and didn’t acknowledge us when we explained to him we were here previously. They threatened to call the police on us after we needed to go back to get our bags because they literally were escorting us out even with a reservation. I have never experienced bad customer service in Costa Rica but after this experience over (a free reservation). It was free LOL! Anyway what would have been the best approach would be to have done a courtesy honor since our hotel messed up and we had 30 more minutes left anyway. However they did not and told us to ‘get out’. I will not be going here and will make sure my clients do not go...

Had a really good time until the end. We paid the entry fee for two, rented a towel, and enjoyed the warm waters. When it came time to leave it went downhill fast as we were refused the ability to connect to the wifi they have signs posted for so that we could load directions back to our stay as our phone service wasn't working as we expected it to when preparing for the trip. We were told the Wifi is for hotel guests only. As an attraction for people to come visit and as common as public WiFi is (even in costa rica) I was very disappointed in how potentially dangerous of a situation this policy could have left the tourists in at 9pm at night and an hour away from our stay, one that could have easily been avoided esp. for paying guests. Not very...

We got a free pass for Termalitas Hot Springs from our stay at Hotel Relax Termalitas. We were not expecting much from a free pass and as told by our tourist guide went to Baldi the first day (very near). Second day we went to Termalitas Hot Springs and fell in love... this was great. An excellent quality hot springs with much less crowd and overall very good quality pools and landscaping. We all liked the Termalitas Hot Springs (for hot spring pools alone) better than Baldi. Looks like they are building it as there is no reception area or hotel there, where Baldi is more commercialized with large reception and huge restaurant area... but much more crowd with similar...

The best value hot springs in the area at $8 per person. There are pools as hot as 50° and they get cooler as you decend, at the very end there is a normal temperature pool which is quite far from the hottest but handy none the less. At night time the lighting is great which creates a nice atmosphere for chilling. There are reclining beds in the water where you can look up at the volcano. During the week it was almost empty and you can stay in there as long as you want. We were chatting with a tour guide that told us that these are just as beautiful as any of the other more expensive places so definitely worth a visit.

Hot baths for locals (>8 hot, 2 cold, 2 slides). Same price for foreigners: 4000CRC. Great place to chill with view of Arenal. You can BYO food and (alcoholic) drinks, but there's a bar selling hot food if you want. Most locals bring a BBQ and stay here for a whole day, occupying one of the cabinas. We just our stuff at the car, and held our bags around the pools, but there's a locker you can use (BYO lock). It was so good we went twice. Would have checked other places out if it wasn't for insane foreigner prices (15USD minimum). There's also a friendly sloth on one of the trees overlooking a pool 😉
