Plaza Apartments Opatija — Hotel in Grad Opatija

The apartment has a nice design and a perfect location. It was clean, we were allowed to check in earlier, the reception was tidy for basic matters, the staff was kind, towels were provided, and Netflix was free.

However, there are many serious downsides

We were given a basement apartment that was not listed.

The extra bed had moldy mattresses.

There is no doormat at the entrance, no canopy above the entrance, and no handrail on the stairs.

The apartment windows have no mosquito nets or protection – if you open them, a rat could come inside.

Coffee capsules are charged extra, and you also have to fill the coffee machine with water yourself.

There is no place to hang towels or put things in the bathroom while showering.

There is a sewage shaft in the room that makes noise and produces a terrible smell from the shaft and siphon.

Private parking cost us 20 euros, but the facility has permanently rented out some of the spaces, making it crowded, narrow, and uncomfortable.

Parking management feels unorganized, and there is no charging station for EVs even though parking is charged. Staff is not familiar with chargers, and nearby chargers are either faulty or blocked.

The apartment is nicely designed and well-equipped, but the basement location, mold, lack of basic facilities, sewage smell, and parking issues make it a disappointing...

We had an incredible stay at Plaža Apartments in Opatija. The building and apartments are stunning – we stayed in a spacious two-bedroom unit with ceilings over 3.5 meters high and three luxurious bathrooms. Everything was spotless, and the equipment and comfort were top-notch. Honestly, it felt as comfortable as being at home, which is rare when traveling!

The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathrooms, with their individual heating controls, were spacious and well-designed. We didn’t hear any noise from neighbors, and the building’s marble staircase gave the whole place a truly luxurious feel.

The manager was exceptionally helpful, organizing a parking space for us at the last minute and recommending wonderful local spots, including a breathtaking beach in Brseč. Every detail was perfectly arranged, making us feel like we were staying in our own home. No morning disturbances or cleaning staff interruptions – it reminded us of the "free at sea" experience from our previous travels.

Opatija itself is a gem, with its beautiful promenade, lovely park, and the must-visit Roko restaurant. All these add even more to the charm of this destination. You simply can’t miss it!

Honestly , everything about Plaza Apartments was first class ! In my industry I travel a lot I've stayed at quite a few hotels Airbnb's and a couple of apartments. Here at Plaza Apartments you get what you deserve which is to feel accomplished comfortable and proud.

From your first connection with the property manager to your arrival everything was fast and easy and as well accommodating if needed.

The apartments are all brand new and built perfectly. Classy Beautiful Sleek and very sexy in decor. All of this comes with easy access to the restaurants bars and cafes located in the centre of Opatija , not to mention the promenade which holds perfect picturesque views running paths or simply leisurely walks.

So if you're planning on coming to Opatija make sure you book one of these 6* accommodations and do your research as they have a few more locations to choose from.
