Hotel president — Hotel in Grad Zadar

We booked this hotel through Agoda for wednesdsy 7th of August. Michael received confirmation of booking by email from the Hotel. when we arrived at the Hotel early afternoon the receptionist asked for our passports and then we were told that the hotel was booked. she told us she gave the room to guests that wanted to stay another night! even though we had a booking. This is absolutely ridiculous and totally unacceptable.It is bad for business || they got on to the manager and still no joy. In fairness the receptionist was okay as she had been off . we booked an apartment but it was just the total inconvenience of it all and the unfairness. we were not treated fairly. we called Lydia the manager the next day directly and we were tod that she had emailed agoda and she was to send us a copy of the email, which she never did! kept fobbing us off and her manner was not nice either . now have to wait a long time for the money back , which ironically was taken straight away after the booking....interesting. ! we were offered a night the end of august/sept. verbally. great.... considering going back home to work the next day. overall disappointing and really bad...

The location is good but you really need a car to go into the old city. It's close to a store Konsum. We liked this hotel because of parking and location. But the hotel is really decorated as a 5 star place. Beautiful wood finishes, rich looking carpets and a fine selection of paintings.||The breakfast was extensive and all self serve. Included: eggs, cereal, cold meat, bread, yogurt and a full selection of hot drinks. ||The lounge was setup for drinks but smoking was allowed so it was smoky a previous guest.|While waiting to check in we were offered coffee which was really nice.||Our room was two rooms. A living type room with a couch, desk and TV.|The bedroom has a king bed and another TV. The bed was rather hard so maybe good for some people.|The TVs need replacing.||There is a ton of storage in our room.||The bathroom was very small and contained a shower and not a tub.||Wifi was good.||Overall a great experience.||Recommended if you...

We needed just overnight sleep and I booked President hotel few hours before. What a surprise. Nice almost boutique hotel! Hotel have a great parking space across the road and it's free of charge. Very nice welcome at reception with quick and pleasant service! We also get a lot of good recomendation for eating and what to see in the town. When we get in the room pleasant surprise... more apartment, than a room. We had seperated living room with sofa and bed room with exit on a big balcony. The place is very clean! In the morning we get a deacent breakfast which was served by very helpfull lady. Only thing that was bothering us a little bit outdate bedding and small old tv sets in the room. The hotel is around 7 min drive from the city center. Otherwise I recomend this hote for...
