First of all, it's not about the premium campsite at all. It´s absolutely overpriced...
Campsite: the individual sites are covered with a layer of gravel (leaving white dust, coating and dirt everywhere). It's almost impossible to fix cords to the awning/tent on them. I recommend packing the tools of an amateur geologist. The absolute majority of campsites are not shaded by trees. There is almost nothing in the campsite. One below average and overpriced restaurant and one pool bar. The hygiene of the showers and toilets was relatively OK - mostly due to the Asian staff. Every morning (around seven) everyone was woken up by a guy with a leaf vacuum cleaner. I watched him chase a few leaves down the sidewalks one morning.
Location: there is almost nothing around the campground. You can walk to Zadar (about 1 hour) or use a taxi. Otherwise location = absolute boredom.
beach: typical Croatian beach. Very small - 1 buffet from 11:30 (they closed quite early in the afternoon). You can choose between concrete or gravel. Entering the sea without shoes is a complete acrobatics. Two hotel sunbeds and an umbrella per day are almost 50 € - let everyone make up their own mind....
Sea: full of garbage in the afternoon... plastic, feathers, feminine hygiene products, grass. To enter the water you have to wade through several meters of this "joy" ...
Staff: Slightly arrogant and rude. But this is part of Croatian culture and traditions ...
Price: EUR 1826 per 5 night (inc. breakfest) and 2 people - own roof tent... I find this price totally inadequate for this campsite, its facilities, quality, service etc.
I know the Falkensteiner Hotels and I'm quite surprised they connected their name with this one ...
PS: 09/09/2024: According to the communication at the reception of your campsite, it didn't look like a mistake in charging... I am not interested in your 200 EUR voucher for the next stay. I will never enter your campsite again ... What I wrote about your campsite are facts ... Anyone who has a bit of sense and values their money had better avoid the whole...
Read moreI NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAMPING SITE!!Me and my boyfriend have been travelling around Croatia Coast between August and September of 2016,during all our trip in others cities before Zadar (Dubrovnik,Korcula,Mali Ston etc),our type of accomodation always were Camping. In Zadar, at this Autokamp Borik,we expected, would have the same welcome and nice camping like we had before but it was so disapointed, starting in the reception, the staff were not definitely welcome, they talk with you in a mood like ,if they could, they gave a map to you and ask to you to deal with by yourself and other important notice, they trate better who are renting mobile home than who is there for camp.Beside that, not being enough, the camp site is really big ,and during the night, the traffic of cars come in and out of the camping area was free,we saw that because it was 10:00 pm and a group of people was making a party beside us (and nobody from the Borik staffs say to them to make silence after 10:00 PM) and all the time we saw their traffic by cars in and out of the camping site and the gate where should have someone who supose to control and request your ID to prove you were there, not happened,i dindt understand why they gave for us a number in the begning and keep our passaports with them till you leave, for SAFETY,just if it was the safety of them.Toilets and showers were as dirty as the sink where you brush your teeth, the sinks beyond dirty , were clogged, during the 1 day and half that we stayed there,we were hoping the situation changed, but nothing happened and if you want a decent shower, there is one near by of the restaurant area.We werent expecting a 5 stars camping but for the price they charged you (27 euros per day) with that conditions they "suposed" offer,it is so far to be consider a place to stay.We stayed in others camping before, cheaper than this, and it was fantastic, but I definitely NOT RECOMMEND Autocamp Borik to anyone who is going to visit Zadar, save your money otherwise you will finish disapointed like us,but it was good,in the future,we will try not make the...
Read moreLow value for the price. It started poor from the beginning. We read on the web that it is allowed to come until 23:00 with the car. So we came at 22 and were prohibited to enter in camping zone. Then we were saturated with tyring shiny night lights, exhausting nonstop trashy music in bathrooms, noisy neighborhood in the camp and noisy traffic right beside the camp. Oh and so incrednbly uncomortable squared toillet seats. Camping places mostly without decent shade, ground pretty hostile for setting your tent. Breakfast serving far from premium. And guess what? - Not included in this high price, extra 15€ from your pocket. The service in the restaurant does not know how to turn on the TV and play cartoons, or they don't want to. As they don"t want to coordinate each other about guests. Instead using net, they use printed list of guests for breakfast. So modern and sustainable approach. And printed list will not be updated when you come on your first breakfast. Also not included in price is access to family showers. It is locked and labeled with VIP. In the morning you get another head-hammer of trashy music all around pools. Wired fence around small camping area makes you feel like you are in a kind of human zoo. RFID bracelet or plastic card to open the door to the beach just emphasize this feeling. How they decide who gets cozy bracelet and who clumsy loosable plastic? Maybe VIP service again :) Cold pools and cold animators trying to handle many agressive kids. It reminded me on animators in cartoon Transylvania. Wifi weak and unstable. Watch out for slipping wet boncrete floors. You may play tennis and enjoy club funimation Borik, but outside the camp. It would be great if they clean the beach in the morning for that price. Watch out for dogs' poos! We decided to move...
