Guest House Daniela, Mlini — Hotel in Općina Župa dubrovačka

We told our selves so many times during our holiday how happy we felt that we had chosen to stay in Mlini and at Guest House Daniela for our Croatian holiday. At our arrival, the owner met us at the airport with a welcoming sign and drove us comfortably to the Guest House and even helped us with our luggage up the stairs to our room on the top floor. The view from our huge terrace was stunning overlooking the Mlini Marina. Every day i´m longing for the lazy mornings on our sunny terrace watching the little town wake up for a new day. There was a big fridge in our room where we were able to store some breakfast items and snacks to enjoy on our private terrace. The room was spacious (two ladies with a fair amount of luggage) and clean and offered a well functioning AC and a large flat screen TV.||The stony beaches are lovely and not too crowded and the best part with Mlini is that it is not touristic at all like the nearby towns of Dubrovnik and Cavtat. Boat connections are just on the doorstep for day trips to explore the surrounding towns and islands. The accommodation is charming and local. The owners and their sweet dog Ronny will make you feel at home and they will be delighted to accommodate all your requests. We stayed for 8 nights and were very sad to leave this lovely gem and would have been delighted to stay for a few weeks more. Do not expect a luxury experience but some great value for your money and a local, relaxed and familiar stay almost as at a friends house. If you are on a budget, you can prepare some meals in the communal kitchen area. There is a well equipped supermarket and shopping center in the next village a 10 minute walk from Mlini.||The outside area is very well kept with some beautiful flowers, plants and seating groups and small hideaways to snuggle in and enjoy a good book and the...

After arriving in Mlini from a stressful Stansted (use another airport!! ) We instantly relaxed. Met at the airport by a number of lovely transfer locals and transported to our destination of a small harbour town beneath the hustle and bustle of the through road to Dubrovnik. What a contrast. Highly recommend going early May to avoid people 😀😎 Guest House Daniela does what it says on the tin, very friendly family and made instantly welcome. There are stairs up to the guesthouse from the sea front to a wonderful terrace and kitchenette for guest to use as and when you need, with wonderful sea views. Bedrooms are wonderful and modern with balconies and ensuite. There is a sea taxi into Dubrovnik regular one way or return, the local bus returns later (as early season) and only a ten minute ride or enjoy 40 mins via seaviews. Fantastic day trips can be booked alongside the sea taxi kiosk too for no extra fee - Highly recommend the 3 island hop with lunch and all you drink for £35 per person 10am pick up 6.30pm return fabulous day out. 9/2023 Villa Daniela is a welcoming family home where guests are made to feel like family.

When my wife and I visited for 3 nights in early September, we never really had the opportunity to speak with Daniela, but her husband enthusiastically rolled out the red carpet, showed us the home's amenities, eg, a public, full kitchen for guests' anytime-use, an outdoor dining area with several nicely kept tables, the large, mini refrigerator for guests' use, and probably other treats I'm not recalling.

🌊. The Adriatic is (almost) literally at the home's doorstep. ⛵. The pier is closest to Villa Daniela. 👙. A pebbly beach is a 5 minute walk away. 🩴. The pebbles are uncomfortable to walk on. Bring suitable water or river shoes. ⛱️. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are available for a modest, daily fee. In September, we paid less than $15 per day per chair/umbrella per person. 🛎️. The entire area is a tourist destination; some parts look to be quite exclusive. We visited after the summer high season and leisurely strolled around the many toney (fashionable ... pricey) manicured gardens. ☕. Even after living in Italy for several years, the best cappuccinos I've ever experienced were at the nearby bar (outside the access gates).

Note : The only negative might be the home's hillside location. The home is located halfway up a somewhat steep hill. The elderly, injured (knee or ankle injuries), handicapped (CP), and obese might find the climb taxing.

9/2023 Villa Daniela gostoljubiva je obiteljska kuća u kojoj se gosti osjećaju kao obitelj.

Kad smo nas supruga i ja posjetili na 3 noći početkom rujna, nikad nismo imali priliku razgovarati s Danielom, ali njezin je suprug s oduševljenjem razgrnuo crveni tepih, pokazao nam pogodnosti doma, npr. javnu, punu kuhinju za goste. bilo kada, vanjska blagovaonica s nekoliko lijepo održavanih stolova, veliki mini hladnjak za goste i vjerojatno druge poslastice kojih se ne sjećam.

🌊. Jadran je (gotovo) doslovno na pragu doma. ⛵. Pristanište je najbliže Villi Daniela. 👙. Šljunčana plaža udaljena je 5 minuta hoda. 🩴. Kamenčići su neugodni za hodanje. Ponesite odgovarajuće cipele za vodu ili vodu. ⛱️. Ležaljke i suncobrani dostupni su uz skromnu dnevnu naknadu. U rujnu smo platili manje od 15 dolara dnevno po stolici/suncobranu po osobi. 🛎️. Cijelo područje je turistička destinacija; neki dijelovi izgledaju prilično ekskluzivno. Posjetili smo ga nakon vrhunca ljetne sezone i ležerno šetali po mnogim tony (modernim ... skupim) njegovanim vrtovima. ☕. Čak i nakon što sam nekoliko godina živio u Italiji, najbolji cappuccini koje sam ikada iskusio bili su u obližnjem baru (ispred ulaznih vrata).

Napomena: Jedina negativna strana mogla bi biti lokacija kuće na padini. Kuća se nalazi na pola puta nešto strmije uzbrdice. Starijima, ozlijeđenima (ozljede koljena ili gležnja), hendikepiranim osobama (CP) i pretilima uspon bi mogao...
