Bistro Paradiso — Restaurant in Općina Župa dubrovačka

I've been in many different restaurants from fast food to michelin star, and so far this was the worst restaurant I've ever been. They serve absolutely homemade food, that's ok. I've had great experiences in restaurants like that. The service take a lot of time to collect your order and bring the food. But this wasn't a big deal that day for us. I saw on the neighbors table some mussels and crabs, than I decided to order a seafood spaghetti. The food was horrible. It's was a huge amount of spaghetti with tomato sauce and some lost pieces of "seafood". The "seafood" was not possible to identify, except for the frozen, tasteless mini (baby?) shrimp- I found 3 of these in the dish. And some weird texture and taste mussels like thing,and a horrible tasteless pasta like thing. Neither me or my partner(that is a kitchen chef) was able to figure out what "seafood" was that. I complained, then the chef and the waiter started to loudly say that I don't know what is seafood. Not even for fun someone should call that horrible things seafood. Come in, don't think twice, just come in. Amazing staff, food absolutely incredible! Portion sizes? You will not leave hungry. In Croatia for 9 days, we've already eaten here twice and will probably come back a third. Family of 5, 3 adults, one teenager and one 8 year old. Everyone super satisfied. Small playground for kids so they can occupy themselves while we wait. Home-ish cooking. We tried their meat, fish, spaghetti, pizza. Everything incredibly. This place is amazing, one of the biggest culinary surprises I've ever experienced. 😅 At first, when we walked inside, we had some doubts. Honestly, it's not a typical fancy place, beautifully decorated. It's not particularly visually appealing, but when we got our pizza, I fell in love.😍 It was sooooo delicious that I will remember it for a long, long time.
