⭐️ A “SPECIALIST” HOTEL🤔💶€160 - €180 a night 💶 for me personally, it was a bit of a ‘swing and a miss’ experience, more details here: ☑️ staff were lovely, really lovely! ☑️ breakfast was nice although a bit ‘instagramy’ which might be your thing or it might not ☑️ apartments nicely present with air conditioning ☑️ plenty of space inside apartments ☑️ great for families, lots staying there and I can 100% see the appeal ☑️ some really nice communal areas that look especially lovely at sun rise / set
Now for me personal, this is where it ‘missed’ but again, take with a pinch of salt as this is personal tasted / match (hence why I say this was a “specialist”):
✖️place is a bit ‘new world’ vibes in that it’s very focused on slightly hippy approach. So what this adds is a little disoringised in places, eg:
🔘 when you sit down for breakfast, there no “this is how it works” or “this is what we’ll be serving today” - which gives no chance for customisation. Some optionality offered (highlight offered, remember some people don’t like to ask… especially if from the UK) or ability to say have more cooked breakfast and less other stuff (from the outset) would be nice 🔘 the girls making breakfast put a lot of effort in, but expect the process to take an hour start to finish 🔘bikes are free - but when we were there, only one was working. Had a look around behind this big curtain at the top of the stairs, there’s a whole bunch of unfixed bikes then no one can be ask to put back together (see photos) 🔘on the subject of ‘the curtain’ at the top of the stairs, whole bunch of other random stuff just jumped in there. Just looks a bit untidy 🔘 it’s all oak and nut milk, nothing from a cow if that’s how you like your milk 🔘 they cannot do much about this last bit, but be aware it’s up like a lot of steps (probably about the height of a 3 story building). 🔘 place felt a little bit lifeless at times and wondered who worked there from who was guests. 🔘 doors to the bathroom don’t go all the way up, meaning toilet time was an effort of silence…
✖️the location is just ‘ok’, kinda next to a road/car park. There is a beach locally, but it’s not in the ‘top 5’ in terms of location we visited on the island. Some nice local restaurants and place to rent motor bikes and boats - but again just a bit ‘ok’
🔘 In summary 🔘 this might be a bit unfair again as we might not have been the best “match” and others might love it.
I’ve jumped around between rating 3 or 4 stars, and landed on 3 else I don’t think otherwise would see it.
Wishing the team / owners best of luck in...
Read moreThis place is a dream come true! We booked for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed for weeks. It is clean, beautiful and comfortable - and the views are even better than in the photos, they are breath-taking! Everything in this place - from the decoration to the presentation of the breakfast - is done with love and care, and you feel so special staying here. After waking up to the beautiful morning light from our windows, we spent our mornings relaxing and having a leisurely breakfasts on the wooden four-poster lounge-beds as we watched the ships in the little port. In the afternoons, we walked just 3 minutes to the beach and took a kayak and a stand-up paddle board to enjoy the sea and discover the small islands nearby. We even kayaked to a local fish restaurant for dinner! We really felt this place was ideal. It is a fantastic choice whether you are coming for a romantic break as a couple, with children to entertain, or as a larger group - it is perfectly located with beautiful nature, beaches and water-sports opportunities just on the doorstep; there are only a few restaurants but they serve delicious sea food; and if you need more night-life Korcula town is very accessible by a short taxi ride. We will no doubt come back and recommend this place to all...
Read moreI don't know where to start.... I guess first the friendliness and flexibility, having to change our plans twice due to Covid, they were so accommodating. Comms were fantastic from the very first exchange of emails right up until our arrival where Tanja, the owner, met us and showed us around this truly beautiful place. |Our apartment (Arabia) was just perfect. A great terrace area and comfortable and clean throughout. The communal areas were fabulous...the cabanas, the hammock, the tree house and trampoline for the children...as well as the resident cats that our daughters helped to feed every morning. The breakfasts were the highlight though, the BEST hotel breakfast we have ever had, 5 courses most days with beautiful coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Healthy, creative food like we've never had before. Our children loved it and Olya was so flexible with and accommodating with their tastes, but we all loved every delicious breakfast treat we were surprised with. Great location, peaceful and tranquil but walkable to many restaurants, a lovely beach bar and all amenities...supermarket, kayak hire etc. |We will definitely be back....
