Guest House Plitvice Waterfall — Hotel in Općina Plitvička Jezera

We stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting the lakes. Great location if you have a car - a little far out if you don’t. It’s a few minutes drive or a 20 minute walk along the A road, so for us (or anyone without a car), it would have been better to stay in the accommodation at Mukinje. The rooms were clean, comfortable and fully equipped, although the WiFi wasn’t working and there is no AC (however the rooms stayed plenty cool enough during our visit in late May). Friendly hosts (the lady even gave us a lift to the local restaurant on the first night), and we enjoyed our stay very much. The only thing that let us down was the lack of local information - as in there is only one shop in Mukinje, and it closes at 3pm on a Sunday. We made the 20 minute walk, only to find the store shut. There is nowhere else to buy groceries, but luckily the accommodation does sell water and the all important staple - cold beer! The surrounding countryside is beautiful, would recommend for a...

For our visit to the lakes we decided to spend the night before in this guesthouse for entrance nr 2 is really round the corner. It appeared to be an exellent choice. The landlady gave us a warm welcome and we were pleasently surprised by the fact that she also offers dinner so we didnot have to go out anymore. The room was clean as can be and offered everything one needs. Dinner was great with fresh fish from their own surroundings. Breakfast offered a small buffet but with everything one can wish for. One thing must really be said: This lovey lady does everything on her own. The rooms, breakfast, dinner, the lot, amazing.
