On arrival late evening , our first impressions of this hotel were fantastic. We were greeted by a very friendly reception team who explained everything we needed to know very clearly.
We were then whisked to our rooms through the hotel resort area on a large golf type buggy by one of the maintenance team. Our boys 10 & 15 years old loved this as did we.
As we arrived late the hotel had laid on 4 plates of sandwiches and fruit covered up. This was nice although the sandwiches were clearly left overs from the buffet as the bread was hard and dried at the edges.Had it been fresh bread we would have been impressed.
We had a family suite which over overlooked the main pool directly. The room was much bigger than we thought it would be. We had a private bedroom which was very spacious and had a super cosy king size bed.We slept very well every night. The kids slept in individual beds next to the patio doors overlooking the pool and next to the kitchen area. A very airey and spacious suite , ideal for us as a family.
The bathroom had a large walk in shower , all nicely tiled. The shower was a bit leaky as it need new washers.
The rooms were visited by the maids most days. The floor was sometimes cleaned , and the towels were sometimes changed , although on once occasion they left us 2 bath towels for 4 people. This was quickly resolved when we alerted reception.
We did'nt use the kitchen area , except for the fridge to store water. A large bottle of water was left in the room each day which we though was a nice touch.
The very large pool area outside our room was very good although a bit chilly to swim in.
The was another unheated pool near to the front of the hotel raised up and overlooking the sea frontage. Very scenic and relaxing , although a bit breezy , hence the hotel's name?
We used the heated indoor pool next to the Spa which was very good on one colder/rainy day.
The staff (,,,,in the main) were very nice and super respectful , although we did have issues with two people in particular. We raised this with the manager Makis Christofi who was fantastic , and dealt with it in a proportionate way.
We were not impressed by the main bar manager Joanna who felt it was OK to shout at me because I had the audacity to apprach the bar for a drink ! In an extremely rude and aggressive way she shouted at me to ' SIT DOWN '. I challenged her about this the next day , and she continually denied this until she eventually apologised stating 'she could not remember'. On several days she appeared stressed with her workload , but should not take this out on customers wanting to enjoy their holiday.
The food was good quality and varied. Special thanks to the pastry chef !
The drink was OK. Nice tea / coffee / hot chocolate / branded spirits / cocktails. However the lager drinks Estrella and Keo were of poor quality and did not fit with the standards of the hotel - could do better. The worst drink in the hotel by a mile were the automated so called fruit juices....more liked watered down fruit flavours - not good.
Multi tasking of staff fort various roles was noticeable. Clearly cutting costs and increasing the profit margin. We we disturbed to see the life guard near the pools being directed to clear a huge volume of empty drinks cups around the pool , and thereby not watch/safeguard young children in the pool. I would urgently urge the management to review this dangerous practice before somebody drowns in a tragically preventable incident.
Nightclub is a bit spartan and needs money spent on it. The shows could do with a quality upgrade although James and his team tried very hard and worked relentlessly.
So in summary , hard working and respectful staff let down by their colleagues but nevertheless a good holiday in a nice hotel in a great location.
Thank you...
Read moreWe had the absolute best holiday at the Louis Paphos Breeze. We received a very warm welcome at reception when we arrived and being greeted with a cold glass of Prosecco and then were taken to our room on a golf cart, cases carried up the stairs and shown where everything in the room was. ||The room itself was lovely, the bed very comfortable and the room very modern in general with good air conditioning. We had a lovely balcony area with table and 2 chairs and a little drying rack as well. The shower worked very well and we had everything we needed. ||The pool area was lovely, we sat at the main pool but there was also a smaller adults only pool with its own bar and a grass area with loungers. We always found a lounger easily (considering we always used the main pool) and even when we went out for the day and came back in the afternoon still found it easy to find a lounger. The loungers themselves had very thick toppers on them which were super comfy and the towels provided by the hotel (changeable every 3 days) were nice and long and covered the whole bed. ||We decided to treat ourselves and book in for some spa treatments. I had a full body scrub, face mask and full body massage and my boyfriend had the full body massage. We both thoroughly enjoyed the experiences and came away feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated. The team in the spa were lovely and we think it was well priced especially if you compare it to UK prices. ||The food was really good also. Breakfast had anything you could want from a full cooked breakfast, cereals, fruits, pastries and more. Lunch always had plenty of options we particularly liked the pasta salads. As for dinner there were themed nights which all of the ones we ate at (we went out a couple of times) were lovely. These included Asian, Mexican, Italian and more. They did a Greek / Cypriot night and being that I am of Greek Cypriot heritage I was a little skeptical but the food was amazing and really did the culture justice and we enjoyed it a lot. We had a night in the A La Carte restaurant where the food was AMAZING! We really enjoyed this and the staff, in particular Irini, made the experience an absolute pleasure. ||Drinks are all branded, coke, Fanta etc and even the spirits e.g. Bombay sapphire gin, Johnnie walker’s whiskey. The cups the drinks are served in were a decent size so you didn’t feel like you needed to constantly get a new one and there was even service to your sunbed if you didn’t want to get up!||Overall what made our entire experience other than everything described above, was the staff in all aspects of the hotel. The reception staff were always on hand to help with any requests with a warm smile. The entertainment team were fantastic and all so lovely, they all work so so hard and make a great atmosphere at the hotel! All of the staff in the restaurant are so polite and welcoming and always have a big smile on their faces. Even the staff around the pool and in the bars were amazing, they got to know our usual drink orders and were just so lovely, polite and friendly. Even the lifeguards who we spoke to everyday were so so kind and lovely. Each and every single member of staff at Louis Paphos Breeze is an absolute credit to the hotel. ||Thank you so much to everyone and we hope to be...
Read moreWe recently stayed here and sadly found the experience to be quite mixed, despite having read a number of positive reviews beforehand.||The Good:||The staff were absolutely wonderful—always smiling, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Their English was excellent, and they went out of their way to make guests feel welcome. We really appreciated the drink service to the sunbeds, and one staff member even checked in with us during the holiday to see how we were getting on, which was a lovely touch.||The sun loungers were incredibly comfortable, and we never had to worry about finding one—there were always plenty available. The daytime activities were great, with lots to do if you wanted to join in, and the view of the sea from the resort was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfy and soft, and lunch was generally tasty with a good variety.||Areas for Improvement:||Unfortunately, the room we stayed in had some serious maintenance issues. There was damp on the ceiling, mould around the bath, and the bath plug didn’t work, which was only “fixed” by sealing it off rather than properly repairing it. The bath itself was stained and not appealing to use. The front door looked damaged and could’ve used a good clean. We also didn’t have a “balcony” area like all the other rooms did as we were directly on the foot path. Most rooms had an area with seats and a chairs but we didn’t. It was a shame as we asked to move and made the staff aware but nothing was done. Make the stay very uncomfortable being in such a poor room.||The food overall was disappointing, particularly breakfast and dinner. There wasn’t much variety, and many dishes were cold or lukewarm. The snack menu was very limited and unclear, and the drinks menu didn’t reflect what was actually available. Fizzy drinks were far too strong with syrup, and the only ice cream option was scoops during the day—nothing in the evening. Despite the good lunch options, we didn’t find any meals that truly stood out as delicious. Also flys were a bit of an issue on the food.||The bathroom/shower facilities weren’t great either. The shower temperature was difficult to control, swinging from boiling hot to cold with the slightest adjustment. Shared toilets had a strong drainage smell and weren’t the most hygienic setup, especially with no flushing of paper allowed and only a small bin provided. The shared/pool toilets were horrific, do not use them!||The location felt quite remote. While there’s a beautiful sea view, there’s no real beach to sit and relax on. Walking to a shop wasn’t easy due to the main road and poor footpaths. The bus into the harbour was convenient but ended too early in the day (last one at 4pm), and was overbooked most days so lots of people got turned away, so we had to use Bolt taxis for evenings out (Uber isn’t available in the area). |||While the staff and service were truly fantastic, the overall condition of the facilities and food quality really let the stay down. There’s definitely potential here, but we feel the resort needs some improvements to live up to the glowing reviews we’d read. We left with mixed feelings—grateful for the kind people we met, but disappointed in the...
