There's not a bad thing to say about this place. After taking a look at their entertainment line up, we quickly decided that the majority of our nights in Paphos were going to be spent here and we were never disappointed (we'll maybe the result of the Euro 24 final, but there's nothing the staff could have done about that)
First and foremost, the staff at this venue are fantastic. They can't do enough for you. There were times we'd wait a little longer than expected between ordering drinks and receiving them but that's always going to happen when the place is always so busy and we found that ordering drinks well in advance of when they were needed meant we never sat with empty glasses. As for entertainment, well I can't speak highly enough. First of all, Chris King as Elvis. Three nights a week he's on. I expected the same show on all three occasions, I was wrong, there were numerous differences to each show which made attending all three worthwhile. Tuesday night was a Neil Diamond tribute who was very entertaining and the second part of his show was a free for all where he made stars of his audience whilst also singing classic party songs from over the years. Thursday brought us the Blues Brothers and and 80s show with Ben and Andi which was is fondly remembered for their comedy as it was for their amazing singing and song choices that wind back the years (look out for two cracking guest stars of their show) Best show of the week is Saturday night, Ben Mills' tribute to the music of Queen. All I can say is "WOW!!!" It takes a very brave man to take on Freddie but Ben absolutely smashes it out of the park. I've seen Freddie acts before who, whilst going all out to look like him, get nowhere near the voice. Well Ben is the opposite, he doesn't need the look as he knows he has the voice, I never thought I'd say that about a Queen tribute act, he blew us all away. We came here most mornings for breakfast as it's the best breakfast we could find after trying different places. It never let me down. My son is a fussy eater but Sapphire and Maccies were the only places in Paphos where he would eat.
In summary, we stumbled on a goldmine here. After a bad experience at our hotel that made us just want to be off the complex this place was a sanctuary for us. We will return as the staff made us feel like VIPs. Thank you all for saving our...
Read morePut the entertainment to one side for a minute. Sapphire is deserving of its five stars simply for its service, food and ambiance. The owner, Vicky, made booking a breeze with her friendly and prompt replies and on the night every single member of staff was an absolute delight, friendly, welcoming and efficient. My steak pie was home-made and absolutely delicious. I'd go back just for that but every dish that passed me on its way to other tables looked really good. Clearly a lot of love and effort has been put into making Sapphire a cut above the average Paphos bar experience with its cute and comforting diner-style design creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere. As for the entertainment, I've only seen Chris rocking his tribute to Elvis, he's a lot of fun, and it was great to see Vicky joining him on stage for a duet, she has a great voice. It was so good to see this couple's passion and effort in making this show bar a great destination in Paphos, I felt every ounce of their passion for what...
Read moreIf you are a fan of Elvis you will love this place. If you are not a big fan of Elvis like myself, you will still love this place.
The food is American Diner inspired (burgers, hotdogs etc) and is very nice. I had the burger topped with mushrooms and cheese, which I recommend. The staff are all really friendly and helpful which adds to the experience.
As a bonus to accompany your food, you get to see the most excellent Chris King perform his Elvis set.
The show follows the life of Elvis starting with the early years, and then after a short interval, the full on jumpsuited Elvis of the 70s.
Chris King is a great singer and sounds like Elvis, but he is also a top-class performer and manages to inject a bit of light hearted humour into his shows making this a must see for everyone, whether you are a fan of Elvis or not.
Several hours of great entertainment for the price of a meal and a few drinks is a winner in my eyes. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, which I...
