This hotel and the staff are absolutely amazing. The rooms are top notch we stayed in the main building room 411. The rooms are clean modern and comfy, there is plenty of hanging space and the fridge is hidden inside the cabinet coffee and tea is available in the room and a cute little patio set on the balcony. The all inclusive menu is very good some of the meals were abit unusual like the mushrooms in bbq sauce ,dunno what that was about but never touched them after the first time. The themed nights are good ,the carvery nights mashed potato was absolutely wonderful.the Caribbean night was a right let down, nothing Caribbean like it, but we ate most of meals in the hotel as it was nice. Been to some places that you completely avoid the buffet to eat out instead, you’re definitely getting your moneys worth. Drinks are good all inclusive the beers are in half pint plastic cups, but because the humidity was so high it was welcome and meant less was wasted. The cocktails are fabulous and the bar staff at the pool bar are absolutely wonderful. The snacks menu is good, not much variety but the food is hot and fresh and well needed if you’ve missed a meal due to oversleeping or being on an excursion. The entertainment was boss Mariana small blonde haired Ukrainian lady is fantastic, keeps you and your kids entertained throughout the day and night, we love her and enjoyed the karaoke night. The music is dreadful sorry, but the same songs are on a loop and played maybe 4 times in an hour. I can buy myself flowers is engraved into my mind. The pool is fantastic enough space to do aqua aerobics, water polo large groups of lads playing ball and fantastic swim to cool down after laying on fabulous but hot sun loungers. There’s plenty of loungers for everyone to use no need to go running down at 7am to put towels on the bed. The beach onto the hotel is called sandy beach and an absolute gem of a place it’s even wheelchair friendly with a specialist ramp to let those who use wheelchairs to be able to go into and enjoy the sea. The beds on the beach are ridiculous if you’re staying on it for only and hour or 2. €7.50 for 2 beds and a parasol, but once you get a receipt you can go back and use as many times as possible during that one day. The water goes shallow over 5ft deep back to shallow and deep again, this is great especially for parents who’s worry is there kids getting into difficulty in the water. There’s rocks on the right hand side they’re very slippery so beach shoes and make sure you have your snorkel ,plenty of beautiful fishes to look at. There is 2 massage stand on either side of Sandy bay, but the spa centre in the hotel is cheaper and way more comfortable and relaxing, the lady is a fabulous masseuse. There is a fully equipped gym which is air conditioned and spotless. There is an underground pool which is massive an people barely use. The laundry room is right where the underground pool is after the spa. The washing is €3 and the dryers are €2 . They’re is an ironing room underneath the main reception are just walk down the stairs next to the lift or use the lift to -1. Would definitely...
Read moreThe room and location were brilliant, walk straight into golden sand. Room modern, small balcony. We had one of the new modernised rooms in front part of hotel. Lovely. Pool fab and great for swimming lengths as well. Plenty of very comfy sun beds and towels provided. However, please don’t ignore the other reviews saying food is bad. It’s not bad but it doesn’t change! Brekkie ok, lunch is basic salad Ie no coleslaw etc, with chips or potatoes and veg is Brussels sprouts! Fishfingers nuggets and pork but pork tough. We couldn’t face eating there in the evening despite being all inclusive, but meals out fab locally. Just don’t go there thinking all inclusive as per usual all inclusive. Snacks in the day are wraps or triangle sandwiches of cheese and ham left over from breakfast. Drinks are very watered down! I don’t drink and could just about taste my hubbys alcoholic one. Tennis is shambles! They provide racquets with no grip on them very old and balls that are beyond flat that don’t bounce and when we asked where we could get some we were told no, we were then told by receptionist with blonde hair “is end season we no get”. Then found out a waiter had offered to get from a sports shop near his house but he was told by her not to. No safe place to leave luggage after check out. There’s a conference room near rthe caption with cameras but it’s not locked nor manned and neither are cameras which is no good as anyone off the street can walk in. When we queried this we were told “we no serve you”. As other reviews, majority of reception staff are very rude, all other staff are lovely. There is an indoor pool open from November and a gym which is ok. We never found a sauna and. Either had the receptionist!! We did find a hot tub. It doesn’t have water unless u ask and is on a room about four inches all round bigger than the hot tub with no windows so claustrophobic, but if it rains it’s somewhere to go to get out of the rain! We did enjoy our stay here but this is certainly not a four star hotel. We would come back to this area and if they sort the food out ans the miserable reception staff we would to this hotel as location and pool...
Read moreWe recently stayed at Pavlo Napa for an all-inclusive family vacation with my wife and our 2-year-old child, and I do NOT recommend it!
First and foremost, the tap water is not drinkable, and nowhere is this mentioned in any way (I found out by accident). If you want drinking water, you have to bring your own bottle to the bar (when it’s open) and ask them to fill it for you.
We stayed in the newly renovated “beautiful” room from the pictures, only to find out that the “double” bed was actually two single beds pushed together, and the room itself was under 20 square meters, which is the minimum standard for a 4-star hotel.
The restaurant and bar have no sense of aesthetics. When you ask for a drink, they give you some sort of concoction that tastes like chlorine in a plastic cup, making you feel like either a savage or an alcoholic.
Even basic amenities, like beach towels, are a luxury for which you have to pay a deposit. In return, you get a worn-out, smelly, stained towel.
My child developed a rash all over his skin because I didn’t know that tap water was not drinkable. A few times, I made milk for him using tap water, and this led to his skin reacting badly.
On the fourth day of our stay, my all-inclusive wristband became loose, and out of fear of losing it, I tightened it too much and had to cut it off. I went to the reception with the cut band and asked for a new one. At the desk was a tall, blond man in his 40s, who rudely put the new wristband on me and tightened it. I was shocked and told him it was too tight and asked if he could loosen it. He responded, and I quote: “It doesn’t matter if it’s comfortable for you, what matters is that it’s convenient for me.”
I asked to speak to the manager, and he claimed that he was the manager. The situation ended when the real manager showed up and replaced the wristband. All of this happened in front of my wife and son.
Lastly, I want to add that the hotel does NOT have its own beach, as boldly shown in their pictures. All the sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are paid, and they have nothing to do with the hotel.
For me, the vacation there was...
