Firstly, my apologies for taking so long in writing our review. I thought I'd done it. Wow, where to start. On arrival, my partner, myself and our autistic daughter, were met with a very warm welcome. We were taken straight to the amazing garden, filled with colour. Pretty flowers, plants and fruit trees. A beautiful raised koi pond, tortoises and birds adorned with ornaments and ornamental pots. It is here, in this paradise, that each morning you are served breakfast and treated like family. We were then shown to our room. It was exceptional. It was honestly, the best place we have stayed, out of all our holidays. My daughter slept exceptionally well and we were asleep as soon as our heads touched the soft pillows. The bed was a four poster, with white drapes and white bedding, with twinkling fairy lights around. It was quite magical. The lounge was extremely quaint and so relaxing. The bathroom was spotlessly clean with clean white towels daily and lovely powerful hot shower. We had our own little gated courtyard complete with picnic table. It is such a safe place that, we never shut our door during the day, when we were out exploring. If we were late back in the evening, it was closed for us as the sun went down. We were advised to keep the door and windows closed in the evening, in case of mosquitoes but, I can truthfully say, we didn't see one. There is air-conditioning so, you won't be hot or, you can put it on heat, if it gets chilly. The beds have a lovely blanket, if needed too. We also had a homemade kebab made for us by the daughter and it was amazingly delicious. My daughter really enjoyed it. The warmth, friendliness and care, especially towards our daughter, was truly beyond words and we have so many happy memories of the Mystery Garden Guest House and its wonderful family. We honestly wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Many thanks and love to this wonderful family. From, Sam, Wendy and Kirsty x I'd like to add, this review has come up as 5/5. I'd like to amend that...
Read moreGREAT FOR GARDEN-LOVERS AND E-BIKERS The rooms are grouped around a courtyard filled with a beautiful garden of various trees and flowers that is cared for lovingly a by the warm-hearted owner, a former high-ranking official.
Because the garden is spacious and offers several seating arrangements, you will always find a shady place for your home-office away from home.
The owner introduced me to his next-door neighbour who rents out E-bikes at a moderate rate and works out tours (also on Komoot). He prepared for me a highly enjoyable 5-day tour of the Karpaz peninsula, booked the hotels in advance and gave me reliable support on the way by phone.
The owner’s wife and daughter prepare a delicious and substantial breakfast in the traditional Turkish way. The only problem with this guest house is, that you never...
Read moreWhat a gem, this cute little guesthouse in the middle of the old city. Host Tamer is more than a handful in a good way. Friendly and hospitable, willing to walk that extra mile for you. All rooms have plenty of character, as does the beautiful garden with fishes, turtles and birds. Breakfast starts at 09, so if you are an early starter you might wanna grab a bun and a...
