I wouldn't really recommend it. It was packed and loud due to poor interior design. Unfortunately the staff didn't speak English but fortunately they had one waiter who spoke English and managed to get an order, cause the first waiter kept speaking Turkish to us even though we were telling him we don't understand. We asked for menus but we were denied menus for some reason and just pressured to get the meze which I guess this restaurant only does meze? Anyhow they come out with the cold meze first which is dips and salad but they don't bring us any bread which I found weird because he did just lay out there like 20 different types of dip. Anyways, then we were waiting for the actual food, an hour and a half went by, we have a headache at this moment, and we told the waiter that we've been waiting, where's the food? He responded with I'm very sorry it'll be out in 5-6 minutes. They do end up coming after 15 minutes, it was a decent amount of meat, I would say 2 meze can feed 3-4 people. During our whole stay the waiters they kept walking by checking our tables but to an uncomfortable degree. Even when we were having our teas, the waiters have this tendency to stare at the tables and touch your plates to move them around. The dessert was a nice touch tho, they bring out a small player of sweets and fruits served with Turkish tea. No manager in site to tell them about our issues. Would I go back? Unlikely but the restaurant is packed with families so I assume other people do enjoy it. So I would recommend if anyone does want to try it, go there, just know you're having meze and don't go too hungry as you'll...
Read moreMultiple visits to this establishment over the years I have been visiting Famagusta. Nice airy decor with plants and small trees incorporated into the dining area giving a feel of sitting outside inside. Staff always very pleasant and helpful. However on occasion the service can be variable, and not necessarily related to how busy they are. And also at times you are made to feel like a tourist. Food is the real feature , nice menu with good choices around meat and vegetables/salads and is always very tasty. Presentation is nice and all the flavours are very simple combinations that highlight the quality of the ingredients in that typical mediterranean/ middle eastern way A word of caution if you go for the meze that they are always encouraging diners to try , the portions are very generous and I find on occasion too much. So typically I will order say two meze for three people. However, if you're hungry, load up and it will all be delicious. Prices are on the higher side by local standards but not by European standards so i feel still offer reasonable price/quality ratings. I think with a few tweaks around service they could in my view make a five star rating. Notwithstanding the minor imperfections , It's a nice experience. Worth a visit and I...
Read moreWe went on Saturday our table was booked for 8pm we were a big party of 14 people. We ordered meze for 10 the children had other choices from the menu. We ate all the starters by 9.15pm. We had to wait over one hour for the main food we were finally given our main food at 10.40 pm. I did complain to the manger who told me there was an issue with the kitchen. This should have been relayed to us when we asked several times about how long the food would be. When the 10 people meze arrived we had 6 lamb chops not enough for 10 people. The an out of food was not enough for 10 people considering the amount of money it cost. Very disappointing will not return. The manager or owner should have given us some sort of discount but this was not even considered. The only positive was that some of the staff were friendly and apologetic but others ignored us and spoke no English and did not even attempt to find someone who could speak to us. Overall experience very overpriced for the amount of food when ordering a meze you expect that each person receives one of everything we did not I would not...
