Lordos Beach Hotel & Spa is actually a pretty great hotel. In an area where currently (end of 2021) there's very little to do, you almost don't have to leave the hotel at all. In that way, it's almost the "jewel" of the area.

The staff was always very nice and helpful, it was very pleasant to interact with them. The hotel rooms are pretty standard hotel rooms - our room happened to have a really big terrace that even shared a common area with a few other rooms. There were a few comfortable chairs and swings, and you could potentially interact with your neighbors quite a bit, hanging out there. So for a social person, this is great. The view from the terrace is not great, though. But that's a minor detail because you'll be hanging out at the beach anyway.

Another plus in the hotel room is the heavy blanket which helps you fall asleep. As a flip side, it can get quite hot during summer nights and you have a dilemma: Do I open the door, bringing in cool air and mosquitos, or do I close the door and sleep in a hot room with no mosquitos?

The breakfast is also really good, a great buffet with quite many foods to choose from. Now I have a Nutella overdose :P

I recommend trying the different activities that the hotel has. They are the following:

Gym: A big room with treadmills, spinning bikes and other equipment. You can lift weights and do a full workout. The downside is that the air conditioning in the room is not great and it's really hot in the room. (Notice: I'm from Finland and I'm used to certain really cool temperatures so I might be biased. It could also be the climate ...)

Indoor pool: A smallish pool where you can chill out. Not for distance swimming, but more for relaxing and hanging out. Temperature is decent.

Sauna: Fits perhaps 10 people quite easily. Oddly, there's a window through which people in the corridor can look at you. Hope that doesn't bother you ...

Steam sauna: This could be the better of the two saunas. Smaller, but more intimate and enjoyable. Fits perhaps 6 people, no windows.

Tennis court: You can also get balls and racket for free. The court is in a bit of weird condition, as the surface seems to bounce unevenly. Perhaps it's just been used so much ... The same goes for the equipment. For a free racket, you cannot really expect it to be top quality. Notice also that there are court lights which cost 1 EUR per 20 minutes. You'll have to use these when it gets dark (after 17h or 18h or something). In conclusion, for casual tennis, this is great to have for free!

Outdoor pools: In other reviews, people have complained that the water is cold in these pools. This is true, I don't think they have any kind of heating there. This does not bother me, because on a hot summer's day I particularly want to have a cool bath! And you get used to the temperature in about a minute or so. I also don't think I saw anyone using these during my stay.

Laundry service: Normal hotel prices (6 EUR per shirt, 2 EUR for socks, 14.50 for suits etc.) With these prices, the total would easily get to 100 EUR! Needless to say, I did not use this service. This is actually the main problem: Difficult to find a place to wash your clothes. There are also no laundromats in the nearby area; the closest is in Larnaca. Hand-washing it is ...

Really good and fast WiFi!

The main restaurant in the hotel, also a buffet, is a bit on the fancier side. They have a changing theme every day, and the food is quite good! I don't remember what the price was but if you buy a voucher for 3 times, you can get the price per time to under 20EUR per person. So not bad at all! The restaurant opens around 18:30 or 19:30 on the evening.

Overall, the hotel was a good and enjoyable experience that I would definitely recommend. Just notice the few caveats that I...

I stayed at the Lordos Beach Hotel from 21st May - 7 June 2025 and absolutely loved every minute!

The hotel is easy to get to from Larnaca airport. Fifteen or so minutes from Larnaca airport by cab, or about 30 minutes by bus number 425 - which stops exactly opposite the Lordos Beach Hotel! How handy..

This is not my first time staying here - but this is my first choice of hotel in Larnaca, better still, in Cyprus!

I had a  lovely room, which was kept very clean and very well maintained during my stay. My room had a lovely balcony and a great sea view.Delicious breakfast for everyone - I am Vegan so the kitchen staff and waiters did everything they could to assist me in making my breakfast as tasty as possible!I was treated to some lovely foods including, tofu scramble with veg, mushroom 'koubes' (balls made with bulgar wheat), Vegan Gyros with veg, vegan nuggets and veggie spring rolls, vegan cheese, vegan tzatziki (which I spread on toast), along with all other everyday goodies available such as cereal, toast/bread, fruit, veggies, tea/coffee, frappe, and so much more! This certainly set me up for the day so didn't need to eat again until the evening. There is so much good food on offer for what you pay, so great value indeed!

Special thanks to Elena in the kitchen for making these for me and providing a wonderful service to me!

The hotel offers so much from nightly entertainment, fantastic pools, both outdoor and an indoor pool plus jacuzzi, Spa treatments/massage, etc., themed evening meals at the restaurant, e.g. Asian night, French night, Italian night, Greek night, and so on. My fave was Asian night as there was lots of Vegan foods available. Other than this, the Chef was happy to make me something tasty to eat which was made Vegan for me.

Thank you to the Restaurant manager - Marios, for his assistance and attentiveness.

The new pools at the hotel are wonderful and very relaxing. Everything is kept nice and clean and you are sure to have a great time chilling at the pools or relaxing at the beach lying on your sunbed (all provided by the hotel).

The staff at the hotel really care about their patrons. You can really see/feel this - I really appreciated their genuine hospitality. Thank you to all.

I would like to thank the following staff for making my stay exceptional:-

Nicolas K - Hotel Manager

Reception:- Vasili - Receptionist (the best receptionist in the world according to Vasili ;-) LOL) Magda - Receptionist George - Receptionist

Kitchen/Waiting Staff:- Elena - Chef George - Chef Lukas - Head Chef Christos - Waiter Georgios - Waiter George - Waiter Maria - Waitress Galina - Waitress Andreea - Waitress Michaella - Waitress Marinos - Waiter Marcella - Waitress Marios - Restaurant Manager

Housekeeping staff:- Bandelitsa - Head Housekeeper Dorina - Housekeeping staff - Thank you Dorina for your help in ensuring my stay was perfect! Theotokis (a lovely guy) - Maintenance David - Maintenance

These staff gave an exceptional service and I am very grateful for this. First Class Thank you very much to all - see you next year!

In my honest opinion - The Lordos Beach Hotel should be a 5 Star hotel!

It goes without saying that I highly recommend this hotel. I will add some photos...

Two stars is actually generous and I can say there were some amazing highlights. Maria in housekeeping, and her boss and of course Iona at the bar who made my coffee martini. These people are shining that second star, without them this would be a 1 star hack (though not totally, just for the room and time of year I booked specifically). Let me explain: Dinner buffet direct from 1970. A beach hotel with a cheap buffet that keeps its terrace (the best part of the whole space) closed, you are not allowed to eat there or bring food there. Despite reception trying to help, staff still refused it. THE WORST PART is the dress code from some midevil torture chamber... not allowing you to wear shorts in a sweltering hot room, filled with food smell, no open doors or windows to the amazing terrace and a cheap cheap cheap buffet... we also both got food poisoning from what was very likely Mediterranean night... spent whole next day sweating, vomiting, etc. We rather lose our money than return for the remainder of the week. Room 136... suite with jacuzzi and sea view... only sea view if you go outside and look through someone else's "private terrace" don't be fooled. Further, it's only a 1.5 seat jacuzzi not really comfortable for a couple with people in rooms that have a similar sea view on the other adjacent side... but here is the worst part. Mid November... we cannot keep our door open because we were swarmed with mosquitoes... we tried turning the ac on... but surprise they shut it down at 4pm... so at 274 euro a night we were left with a fan they brought to the room... so cool 😎. 4 star hotel, junior suite where I can't open my door or turn on my air-conditioning.

If i were forced to return, I would stay on the non sea side without the mosquitoes, not pay the extra price for hot tub, private terrace or sea view as its all a joke. Pay for the cheapest room and know that it is a good value for money. Skip dinner buffet. Spend time at the bar or on the beach very nice indeed, breakfast is good and staff mostly friendly (outside the dinner room) and helpful to a point. Don't expect (or try to buy) luxury or any extra miles here... it is a value for money budget hotel for a budget holiday. So for this stay, ...

Very good hotel the staff was nice and helpful allways with a smile The hotel has everything  you need for shortt vacation We had a reservation  with half board , breakfast is always the same but has a big range of different food ,the coffee machine has grinded beans and is a perfect strong coffee the dinner is so good, every day a different region theme We arrived very late the first day ,so they gave us a boucher for lunch the last day The room we stayed was the superior ,I don't think is different from the other one, was comfortable for two persons ,for 3 persons will be tight, nice design , the AC work excelent ,note that all the rooms are sea-side !! The south side is above the bar and every night they had a singer and you can  hear them from your room especially if you are on the first floors The walls are a little thin and can hear the guests adjacent to your room The bathroom is spacious especially the shower although it doesn't have much water pressure The room cleaning could be improved on some corners in the shower ,the vanity kit wasn't replaced and one day they didn't leave hand towels. The pools have levels and chairs on the water ,really cool, also have some points for hydromassage The corners are a little slippery,be careful  ! The beach is so close that it feels as an extension of the pool The staff at the pool/beach were taking care of the sunbeds cleaning and preparing for the next guests all the time the pool life guard was always alert and paying attention I wish the range of  fruity cocktails was larger ... The spa is small ,we were off-season and the Jacuzzi /solarium/inside pool were empty I did a face treatment and the products are amazing The spa manager is amazing  person we had a misunderstanding with the reservation and she did everything to help and gave us a solution immediately Definitely coming back ! I am so happy I chose to stay here for 4 nights. The staff are so polite and welcoming. My check in agent was Vasilis and he ensured I was alright every time he was on shift. When I first arrived my room door was opened and I freaked out. But was ensured it was ok as the cleaners did it to help the floors dry. I had an inspection of the room and everything was fine. Room was clean and tidy. I expected a bath but I had a shower. Lovely cyprian treats were left in the room and water given daily. The grounds are amazing and well kept. It’s now coming into the summer season and the seaside is beaming! Breakfast is included in each booking and the selection is nice and well cooked. I do not eat a lot so just a waffle and an omelette plus drinks, coffee & fruits will satisfy me. They have room service with a decent selection and very fast I must say. I highly recommend the club Sandwich, it’s huge! So filling. Spa services are a tad expensive but if you’re in the mood to treat yourself then not so expensive. The facilities like jacuzzi steam room and sauna are all free for guests to use. The water sports hut on the beach is great! Ran by Stavros and his amazing colleagues you have to meet Zak and kyriakos they are so very friendly and they love people. They are very safety orientated and wants nothing more than for their customers to have fun! They have so many water sports available and they will definitely look after you.
