Pension Sebastian — Hotel in okres Břeclav

We spent four nights here and found the apartment perfect for our needs. It is very large with a dining table and also a separate sitting area, all in one open space with the kitchen. The apartment is funky cool with colors and furniture and flooring. The kitchen has everything one could need for cooking and we do cook a lot. There is another bedroom loft space upstairs for larger families. The main square and castle are a 5 minute walk and the grocery shopping the same in the other direction. George (Jirir) did our laundry for us at his pension and returned it to the apartment. What wonderful service! We rented bikes from the person he recommended as well. They were really good bikes, with gears and saddlebags. The bathroom is large and the toilet is in a separate "room". The wi-fi works beautifully. Parking is on site and free. We had a wonderful stay! The location is fantastic, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the common areas were well-equipped (though we only used the glasses). A huge bonus was the wine cellar next door — the tasting was absolutely amazing (it was in Czech, but I translated simultaneously into German).

For improvement, a small shelf in the bathroom for shampoo and shower gel would be handy (our friends in a different room had one). Our room had a roof window with excellent blackout and an insect screen, but the triangular window couldn’t be covered, which let in some light in the morning.

A fun curiosity: the decor and furniture were inspired by Asia and Africa — unique, though it felt a bit out of place in a South Moravian wine town.

My friend and I had a fantastic stay at Pension Sebastian in June 2014. The location is perfect, the rooms spacious and clean with private bath - all at a reasonable price. The place also boasts a fabulous backyard that etches into the limestone hills of Mikulov. We were in Mikulov for three nights and rented bikes at a good rate from Jiri, the owner of Pension Sebastian. Jiri was such a lovely person and gave us great tips on what to do and where to eat in Mikulov, as well as which places we should explore by bike.
